Parisyan: "Every fighter I know takes pain medication like it's M&Ms"

"My issues had to do with my anxiety problems and panic attacks," said Parisyan. "Painkillers were thrown out there, but that wasn't it. People made these accusations because I'd been popped for medication (months before). I'd taken two pain pills the morning of my fight for a torn hamstring and didn't think much of it."

Parisyan said he alerted an NSAC official that he'd taken the medication after the bout when he was asked for a urine sample. Parisyan said he was told it wouldn't be an issue as long as he had documentation from his physician.

Parisyan didn't have a prescription for the ingested pills -- later identified as Percocet -- which the fighter said had been given to him by a friend. Thinking the pills were the same as what he'd been prescribed, Parisyan said he was shocked to get the call a month later telling him that he'd be disciplined for it.

"Every fighter I know takes pain medication like it's M&Ms," said Parisyan. "I was the unlucky one who only took it the day of the fight without even thinking about it."

Now, if fighters are taking pain medication like they're candy and, as Hallman said, 50 percent of fighters are on steroids, who in this sport isn't hopped up on something?...More?

WWE Hopes for 'Legendary' Entrance into Indie Film Market

When it comes to low-key independent movies, professional wrestlers are hardly the first names on anyone's go-to casting list. But World Wrestling Entertainment wants to change that.

The WWE's most popular and charismatic wrestlers are happily trading gut punches for acting chops.

"These movies allow us to entertain people in a different way," says Paul "Triple H" Levesque, who stars in a film coming out next year called The Chaperone. "Wrestling is big and over the top and dramatic. Movies are a different world. In a movie you can squint your eyes and it reads a million times bigger than a whole face reaction. You just really have to pull it back."

"The movies we do are not what people would stereotypically think," says Levesque. "The stereotype goes 'WWE, the wrestling guys, they blow stuff up and beat up people and there's going to be a big car chase and 100 cars are going to get ruined.'

"People don't care about that," he says. "They care about good stories."...More?

SmackDown Results: Laughter from the Grave

After Kane announced that he will put the World Heavyweight Championship on the line against The Undertaker at Night of Champions, The Big Red Monster rose out of a casket placed at ringside, sending a frightening message to his ominous brother. He claimed to be in the possession of The Phenom’s legendary powers, insisting that there was nothing The Demon of Death Valley would be able to do to stop his demise at their upcoming pay-per-view showdown.

When The Undertaker emerged to confront Kane, his frightening younger brother disappeared. However, the self-proclaimed “devil’s favorite demon” soon reappeared on the arena screen, informing The Phenom that although they’re known as The Brothers of Destruction, after Night of Champions, The Deadman will soon simply be the brother that he destroyed. Full results.
