The first “TNA Gut Check” workshop will be held on Saturday, September 25 at 1 p.m. at the Rahway Rec Center in Rahway, New Jersey.
Hosted by TNA Wrestling’s Talent Evaluator D’Lo Brown and TNA Founder Jeff Jarrett, “TNA Gut Check” will cover multiple aspects of professional wrestling and participation in this workshop will be very limited. Prospective professional wrestling prospects will be evaluated through drills, simulated matches and in-ring work
“’Gut Check’ workshops will allow for TNA management to scout up-and-coming talent and give aspiring wrestlers the kind of instruction and advice they can’t receive anywhere else in the industry,” Jarrett said.
In order to qualify, participants must apply at www.tnagutcheck.com from now until Monday, September 13 at 12 PM EST. There is a non-refundable $20 application fee. Accepted participants for “Gut Check” will be notified via email ten days prior to the event. At that time the remaining balance of $230 will be due, and participants must sign a liability waiver.

On September 4, 1911, Labor Day Monday that year -- there was a highly anticipated rematch between the two titans of professional wrestling of that era, Frank Gotch and George Hackenschmidt.
That match 98 years ago in Chicago brought together two ring rivals who had wrestled each other in the Windy City in April 1908. WWE Holding Tryouts for a Developmental Contract
On Friday, October 22, 2010, World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) will be holding tryouts to earn a WWE Pro wrestling developmental contract. This is a unique and unusual opportunity for pro wrestlers wanting to take it to the next level and has already attracted applicants from Texas, South Carolina, Connecticut and Ohio. As the tryout is limited to the first 100, it is expected to sell out.
The tryouts will be held at the Matt Borne Professional Wrestling Academy which is located at 3-2 Count on Fairfield Road in Freehold, NJ. Borne is a former WWF and WCW Superstar best known as the "Original" Doink the Clown in the WWF, Big Josh in WCW and Borne Again in ECW. Borne is a second generation wrestler, son of the late legendary "Tough" Tony Borne.
Matt Borne will manage the tryout and will be available on Thursday, October 21 for consultation during the open ring practice sessions. On Friday, October 22, John Laurinaitis, WWE Executive Vice President of Talent Relations along with the Director of Talent Relations, Ty Bailey will be evaluating pro wrestlers, tag teams, referees, valets and managers for the opportunity to join one of the most respected pro wrestling organizations, the WWE.

"Currently, I’m signed with WWE and was originally cast as one of the six rookie diva’s on NXT season three. However, due to a dispute with my NXT Pro, Vickie Guerrero, I was fired from NXT for the season. I’m looking forward to continuing my career with WWE in whatever capacity they see fit to use me for."

Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart Arrested on Several Drug Charges
Former WWE tag team champion Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart was arrested today on multiple charges including grand theft and possession of controlled substances. The Hillsborough County Sheriff's office has released the arrest report, which can be viewed if you click here. Neidhart is being held without bond in a Tampa, FL jail. He was charged with possession of 95 Oxycontin pills, 28 Methadone pills, two counts of possession of controlled substances with intent to distribute, two counts of trafficking illegal drugs, one count of burglary of an unoccupied dwelling and one count of grand theft third degree.
