WWE Superstars Results: Menace to Society

After disappointing CM Punk with a loss to Big Show on SmackDown, Luke Gallows attempted to make it up to his Straight Edge Society leader by defeating the giant. Of course, dismantling The World’s Largest Athlete is much easier said than done. So it came as no surprise when Big Show stomped down the ring, plowed through Gallows and picked up a dominating victory. Full results.

Beverly Lehmer Was Woman Wrestler of '50s, '60s

Beverly Lehmer, who died August 30, spent a few years in the early 1950s under the thumb of Billy Wolfe, the czar of women's wrestling. Having taken a break for a short marriage, she returned to the business part-time, on call for promoter Joe Dusek, who promoted throughout the midwest.

Based out of Council Bluffs, Iowa, at the time, Lehmer had no problem with the unpredictability of it all.

"I'm a spur-of-the-moment type of person," she said, so getting the call at the last minute was okay. "Usually when he would call me, the girls had been in an accident on the way, didn't show up, it was time to wrestle and nobody was there. I'd be at a bingo game, and my name would be on the loudspeaker and I'd go. He'd say, 'Bev, can you go home and get your tights?'"...More?

Team ‘SmackDown’: WWE Crew Works Hard to Yield Thrills

In the world of live television broadcasts, the NASCAR operation is known as the equivalent of a military division — an awesomely equipped but slow-moving goliath, taking a week or longer to relocate, set up and break down.

By contrast, the technical staff, support crew and performers of World Wrestling Entertainment, who bring four live and taped TV shows to more than 14 million American viewers every week of the year, are relatively fleet.

“If NASCAR is the First Infantry, the WWE are the Navy SEALS...More?

Update on Highspot's Lawsuit Against Ric Flair

The trial for Highspots.com's lawsuit against Ric Flair is scheduled to begin on 4/18/11. The two sides will begin depositions shortly.

The suit was filed several months back over the ongoing issues regarding money Flair allegedly owes Highspots and the original National Wrestling Alliance World Heavyweight championship belt, which Highspots claimed they were given as collateral for the loan.

Highspots has maintained possession of the belt and have previously tried to sell the belt to make up the amount they have alleged Flair owes them, only to learn that another entity, Combraco, Inc., already held a lien on the property for money Flair owes them. Highspots claims they are owed $35,000 from money lent to Flair, as well as money spent on photos and other materials created in conjunction with Flair appearances. They are also claiming they are owed one more appearance contractually by Flair, plus interest on money owed...More?

More Details On Triple H's New Title With WWE

As it has been widely reported among the wrestling media, Triple H's current role with WWE was officially formalized in an executive position as he is now working in the office in Stamford, CT (he was recently given a new office). His new official title is Senior Adviser, basically meaning he is working directly under Vince McMahon reports The Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

One source noted that the role he has right now is basically the same role he has been doing for almost the last decade as one of McMahon's main advisers on the wrestling end of the business. The new title officially formalizes his position with the company in a corporate capacity. This all but seems to confirm discussion that if and when Vince steps down that Triple H and Stephane McMahon will be the ones in large control of the company, more specifically on the creative end.
