Suggestions to Spark Raw Ratings
Bring Stephanie McMahon and Vince McMahon back as central characters on the TV show right after the election. Have the family feud become the centerpiece of Raw, with Stephanie revealed as the mystery G.M. and Vince fighting to control her power-hungry daughter with Triple H getting the benefit of every one of her decisions en route to trying to take over WWE from the Vince-backed babyface Randy Orton. This option could breath life into WWE and is the most likely to be tried, but I'd take all of the previous options over this one...More?

Rumor Mill - Jillian "Retiring"
There have been rumors within WWE about RAW Diva Jillian Hall’s future with the company. While her status with the company is in good standing, plans are being made to “retire” Jillian as an on-air performer. She would then work as a trainer to WWE’s female developmental talents in Tampa, Florida. No word yet when these changes will happen.

Conn. Senate Race Too Close to Call; McMahon Within 3 Points
A new poll shows that Democrat Richard Blumenthal's lead in Connecticut's U.S. Senate race over Republican Linda McMahon has evaporated to within the survey's margin of error.
The Quinnipiac University poll released Tuesday shows Blumenthal, the state attorney general, with a 49 percent to 46 percent lead over McMahon, former CEO of World Wrestling Entertainment. The survey of 1,083 likely voters has a sampling margin of error of plus or minus 3 percentage points.
Blumenthal's lead in the poll two weeks ago was 6 percentage points. In a different poll of registered voters in March, Blumenthal's lead was 33 points.
Poll Director Douglas Schwartz calls Blumenthal's lead "statistically insignificant" and says he should be concerned about McMahon's momentum.

Update on the Future of WWE NXT

WWE Plans a ‘Smackdown’ for Election Day in Connecticut
WWE is hosting a “Smackdown” in Bridgeport, Connecticut on November 2, the day voters will decide whether to elect the company’s co-founder and former CEO, Linda McMahon, as their senator. Politico’s Jonathan Allen reports:
No doubt the timing of the extravaganza will have conspiracy theorists chatting in the week before the election. The match starts at 6:45 p.m., an hour and 15 minutes before polls close. It’s being held in a Democratic bastion where African American turnout — or lack thereof — could make a difference not only in the Senate race but in the 4th District House race between Rep. Jim Himes and GOP challenger Dan Debicella. Will advertising for the event help or hurt McMahon — a positive or negative reminder of her time as WWE’s CEO? Could traffic around the 10,000-seat Arena at Harbor Yard impede voting?
Add to that list of conspiracy theories the question of illegal coordination among outside groups and political candidates or parties. If it seems like the purpose of the event is to boost McMahon’s chances, Democrats might argue that it should have been reported as a campaign expenditure. McMahon’s spokesperson counters by noting that she won’t be attending the event or participating in any way — she’ll be too busy delivering a “smackdown” of her own.

Robert Roode Keeping Tag Team Wrestling on Tap
It's no secret that tag team wrestling doesn't have the same place that it once did. But that doesn't mean it's totally dead either, especially in TNA Wrestling where arguably the best team in the world currently resides.
That would be Beer Money, comprised of James Storm and Robert Roode. Since being paired together in the summer of 2008, the two immediately clicked and have formed a smooth partnership in the ring and as overall characters playing off one another.
Roode -- the Money half of the pairing -- is enjoying every second of it.
"We're in a great position right now," Roode told the "Between The Ropes" radio show. "We're part of Fortune. We're rolling with Ric Flair every week. If you would have asked me two years ago that I'd be standing in the ring with Ric Flair I would have said you're crazy."...More?
