Connecticut Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Richard Blumenthal on Friday launched a new TV ad that accuses his Republican rival, former wrestling executive Linda McMahon, of working to kill steroid and drug testing laws in various states.
The 30-second spot is among Blumenthal's most critical of McMahon, who was the CEO of World Wrestling Entertainment until last fall. Citing news articles and various state records, the ad accuses McMahon of hiring lobbyists to help her "duck taxes, kill steroid and drug testing laws, and avoid health and safety protections for her workers."
Blumenthal's ad was viewed by The Associated Press before it was scheduled to be broadcast. It was to begin airing hours after McMahon released a dueling spot that features footage of the Democratic state attorney general answering a question, posed by McMahon during a debate this week, about how to create a job.
The ad insinuates that Blumenthal's lengthy answer proves he "can't create jobs, can't help Connecticut."...More?

SmackDown Results: Outclassed
After suffering a broken wrist at the hands of Alberto Del Rio – which sidelined him for more than a month – Rey Mysterio returned to action, focused on retribution. Del Rio arrived in style, driving a brand-new Rolls Royce and looking to finish off his masked adversary.
But when Del Rio’s personal announcer, Ricardo Rodriguez, elected to get involved in the explosive match, The Ultimate Underdog fired back. Interview With Immersion’s Mateo Rojas on AAA Lucha Libre
After having so many years with only the WWE in town, gamers tend to get quite excited when a pro wrestling title arises that doesn’t carry the license. The newest game in town brings the AAA crowd of lucha libre wrestlers straight from Mexico and onto your home systems with AAA Lucha Libre: Heroes Del Ring. Although lucha libre features many concepts we’re quite familiar with in pro wrestling, it does have its own share of rules, atmosphere and notable wrestlers, but, more importantly, it has its own tradition, philosophies and atmosphere to soak in.
The release will be a landmark one for Mexico as AAA will be the first game ever developed and published by a Mexican-based video game company for mass consumption and it is the first to bare the much-respected AAA license...More?

WWE Superstars Results: With Friends Like These
Much like the duo of Curt Hawkins & Vance Archer, Tyson Kidd & David Hart Smith have looked less like a team in recent weeks and more like bickering enemies. The source of The Hart Dynasty’s problems can be traced back to Night of Champions where they lost their WWE Tag Team Titles in a wild Tag Team Turmoil Match after being defeated by The Usos. On “WWE Superstars,” The Harts were able to lock up with the men who beat them that night, but the Hart Dungeon-trained duo failed to reclaim the flawless teamwork that helped them rule WWE’s tag division. After a big miscue caused Kidd and Smith to brutally bang into each other, Kidd was nailed by top rope splashes from both Jimmy & Jey Uso, leading to another disappointing loss. Full results.

Drug Test Failures in TNA, No Action Taken
As reported on earlier, TNA held drug testing many weeks ago. The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that wrestlers failed tests, were told they failed tests and no disciplinary action or suspensions were given over some if not all of the testing failures. What was learned from many within TNA is that people are still doing what they were doing before and there was a cause for concern with some talent as some new they would fail. It should be noted that the monitoring of the testing is not at all close to WWE's drug testing structure where someone watches you, your pants have to be below your knees and shirt must be above your nipples to make sure you aren't sneaking in different urine.
