Matt Hardy Tries to Clear the Air
Quotes from Matt Hardy's latest YouTube video post:
"About six or seven weeks ago, I came across a piece of monumental information; information that was so huge that it was the exclamation point. It definitely solidified the fact that I was ready to leave WWE. For 12-18 months prior, that thought had been going through my mind quite a bit."
"There had been times I was thinking, 'I'm not happy; I don't feel right.' Then, once this monumental piece of information came around, I said it's definitely time for me to leave WWE." Hardy claims he went to people in WWE management "six or seven weeks ago" asking for his release, but he says he was denied.
"When that didn't work, I tried the back-up plan. We went overseas. I tried to cause a couple things that would maybe get myself released. Everybody bought it except one person. It was Christian. He actually pulled me aside and was like, 'Hey, Matt, are you trying to get fired?' I was like, 'No, no, not all,'" Hardy said, re-capturing his coy response.
"After going back and forth, we came to an agreement to make everyone happy. It would get me to where I need to be: free. If I want to go to LA tomorrow, I can go to LA tomorrow. Whatever I want to do, I don't want a boss who tells me I can't do this. Sorry, that's me. Maybe it's a flaw. Maybe it's a gift."
"My end of the deal has been upheld. Now, they have to uphold their end. As soon as we do that, something very, very special will happen. Hopefully it will be sooner rather than later. And I'm pretty sure it will be because I got them right where I want them."
Venom Energy Interview with Triple H
As a WWE Superstar, what was your ultimate "own the instant" moment?
Being in the main event at WrestleMania. WrestleMania is the biggest event in our industry. The reaction of a live audience is so immediate and spontaneous. Being able to compete in front of an audience of 70,000+ and control their emotions is the ultimate adrenaline rush.
What is your favorite "own the instant" moment outside the realm of WWE?
Becoming a father.
What is the career accomplishment or award you are most proud of?
There isn't one particular career accomplishment or award that I am most proud of. I am most proud of being able to entertain and put smiles on the faces of millions of fans around the world. If you don't have a relationship with your audience, you don't deserve them. I don't want to let them down.
If you were a snake, what kind would you be and why?
I'd be a Black Mamba. Black Mamba's are one of the largest, fastest and most venomous snakes in the world.
Summarize your attitude toward life in 6 words or less.
Success isn't a stopping point...More?

Update on Batista
Legendary hip hop star and Wu Tang Clan member The RZA has announced former WWE star Batista has joined the cast of his new movie, “The Man with the Iron Fist” starring Academy Award winner Russell Crowe.
RZA spoke to movie news site ComingSoon.net and had the following to say about Batista’s involvement:
“I would love to bring these worlds together. That’s what I’m striving to do. My budget is not as big as some of these movies, so I’ve got to pull a lot of favors. Another buddy who is on board is Dave Batista, the world wrestling champion who left and now he’s into Strikeforce and he’s going to be doing mixed martial arts. To have him come on as Glass Body, when I talked to him about it, he was like, “I always wanted to be The Toad in ‘Five Deadly Venoms,’” and I said, this isn’t The Toad but the character is very similar, and he said it would be his honor to do it. So to have him and Russell Crowe standing beside each other, two men, real men, is exciting. But I’m looking to make this an international thing that brings both worlds under one umbrella and get out a good piece of art.”
Batista appeared in the corner of Strikeforce fighter Nick Diaz at yesterday's weigh-ins for tonight's fight. Batista was said to be very low-key and drew no attention to himself.
