McMahon Will Wear WWE Merchandise When Casting his Vote


According to an article by TMZ.com, Vince McMahon stated in his lawsuit filed against the Connecticut Secretary of State that he "intends to wear WWE paraphernalia when he enters the polling place to cast his vote on November 2, 2010."

“On behalf of myself, my company, WWE® fans and any Connecticut citizen who wants to exercise their constitutional right to vote, I have filed a lawsuit today asserting that Susan Bysiewicz’s directive that allows poll workers to refuse registered voters wearing WWE merchandise the right to vote is a flagrant act of censorship and discrimination,” said Vince McMahon, Chairman and CEO, World Wrestling Entertainment.

The Executioners (Killer Kowalski & John Studd) were stripped of the WWWF World Tag Team title when they had a third member (Nikolai Volkoff) participate in a title defense against Chief Jay Strongbow & Billy White Wolf in Hamburg, Pennsylvania. Strongbow & White Wolf would go on to win the belts in a three team tournament with the Executioners and, ironically, Volkoff & Tor Kamata.

Blumenthal Stretches Lead Over McMahon


State Attorney General Richard Blumenthal again holds a double-digit lead over Republican opponent Linda McMahon in Connecticut’s U.S. Senate race.

The latest Rasmussen Reports telephone survey of Likely Voters in Connecticut shows the longtime Democratic state official with 56% support, his best showing since early June. McMahon claims 43%of the vote. One percent (1%) prefer some other candidate, and another one percent (1%) are undecided.

In an emotional press conference, the father of the late World Wrestling Entertainment performer Chris Benoit Monday urged Connecticut voters to reject the company's former CEO, Republican Linda McMahon, when they head to the polls in a week to select a U.S. senator.
