Eddie Edwards Wins 2010 ROH Survival of the Fittest

Ring of Honor brought its 2010 edition of "Survival of the Fittest" to the Ford Community & Performing Arts Center on Friday night and it did not disappoint.

Remembering Eddie Guerrero

On November 13, 2005, Guerrero was found unconscious in his hotel room in Minneapolis, Minnesota, by his nephew, Chavo Guerrero. Chavo attempted CPR, but Eddie was pronounced dead when paramedics arrived on the scene.

An autopsy revealed that Guerrero died as a result of acute heart failure, caused by undiagnosed arteriosclerotic cardiovascular disease. Although Guerrero had not taken alcohol or illicit drugs for nearly four years, his past excesses contributed to his heart failure.

SmackDown Results: One Good Burn Deserves Another

In a major clash of SmackDown's titans, Big Show ultimately reigned supreme over World Heavyweight Champion Kane, thanks in part to the maniacal actions of Edge.

Prior to the match, Kane could not find Paul Bearer. He did, however, find his father’s mystical urn and definite signs of a struggle.

When it looked as if The Big Red Monster was about to chokeslam his gigantic adversary for the victory, Edge emerged with Paul Bearer in tow, tied to a wheelchair, hysterical with fear. As The Master Manipulator threatened to push “The Father of Destruction” off the top of the ramp, The World’s Largest Athlete used the distraction to chokeslam his horrific opponent for the win. Triple H on 'Good Day Atlanta'

Interview with Triple H

Triple H was on the radio in Atlanta this morning to promote tomorrow's WrestleMania ticket sale. Here are some highlights from the piece.

He was asked if he would miss WrestleMania and he said no. He said he was rehabbing his injured biceps and is close to coming back. He said he wrestled on short notice at the 10/30 Fan Appreciation Show in Hartford, CT because Rey Mysterio couldn't.

He was asked who the Raw GM was and he said that he didn't know. In a kidding way, he said it couldn't be him because he isn't friends with Michael Cole and the GM is.

He was asked where he works out when he is not on the road. He said he removed the home theater room in his house and made it similar to a a commercial gym. He said he and wife Stephanie work out there.

He was asked about a story (which I did not hear) stating that Stephanie showed up to vote for her mother on election day and was told she wasn't registered and couldn't. He said that was totally untrue. He said that they did initially go to the wrong polling place but that the story wasn't true. I have no idea where that one got started. Stephanie is too smart to ever let that happen.

He was asked about how he could use the sledgehammer and not hurt people. He said that he is pretty good at it and said that the only time he ever used a prop was the time that he split someone open, so he uses a real one.

About his new role as a senior adviser to Vince he said that guys are starting to get comfortable with him in the role because they have known him for years and realize he understands them and can help convey their concerns.

The host suggested having Abdullah The Butcher into the WWE Hall of Fame and he said that he proposed it himself last week.

WWE Superstars Results: Shock and Awe

Kaval just can’t seem to make it happen. Since winning the competitive second season of WWE NXT, the talented grappler has been unable to score a win as a WWE Superstar. The Brooklyn, N.Y., native’s woes continued tonight as he locked up with the sinister Drew McIntyre in a hard-hitting match that saw both brawlers pulling out everything in their arsenal to stop the other man. But, in the end, it was the Scottish Superstar’s Future Shock DDT which scored the victory and delivered Kaval yet another loss. Full results.

Recap of Triple H & Shawn Michaels Promo at Ravens/Falcons Game

Triple H and HBK were at the Georgia Dome before (Thursday's) Falcons vs. Ravens game. The DX entrance theme started playing and they came out to cut a promo for WrestleMania 27. Shawn looked like he was enjoying himself while Hunter was mostly business.

Hunter was sporting a suit and clean face a la his blueblood gimmick. They talked briefly before doing the signature 'Are You Ready' bit. Trips explained they had to change it to 'Rise Up' instead of 'suck it,' firstly because that's the Falcons slogan this year, but also because they didn't want to get in trouble."
