Two of SmackDown’s most promising young Superstars, Trent Barreta and Curt Hawkins are no strangers to one another — both trained together in the same gym for WWE and have locked up in both tag and singles action many times before. This familiarity lent itself to an exciting back-and-forth contest tonight as each competitor seemed to know what their opponent was going to do before they did it. Why WWE Was Able To Use Their Old Logo On Raw?
For those who have asked about the legality of WWE using the old block WWF logo on Old School Raw Monday night, the answer is that the company is only prohibited from using the Attitude Era scratch logo.
As the result of losing a court battle with the World Wildlife Fund eight years ago, the wrestling company was no longer permitted to use the scratch logo or the WWF initials (hence the name change to WWE).
However, the block WWF logo – which the company was no longer using at the time of the legal dispute – and the “World Wrestling Federation” name can be used by WWE when referencing history.

WWE has released developmental wrestler Kyle Rasmussen (a/k/a Conrad Tanner), a 6'4", 300 pound former Michigan State football player John Laurinaitis signed last year following a tryout.
