PWInsider.com is reporting that WWE Diva Rosa Mendes defeated former NXT 3 rookie Diva AJ on this past Sunday's edition of FCW Wrestling to become the new "Queen of FCW." In an interesting note, Rosa Mendes has not won a singles match on WWE TV since debuting on the main roster two years ago.

Ed "Strangler" Lewis wins the world heavyweight title from Joe Stecher in New York City. Lewis is managed by Billy Sandow. According to Lou Thesz in his biography, Hooker, this was a legitimate contest and was likely the last major world title shooting match in history, though wrestling historians now dispute the claim. Whether a legitimate contest or not, an era of wrestling came to an end and a new one dawned.

SmackDown Results: Mistaken Catastrophe
World Heavyweight Champion Kane failed to show up in order to team with Alberto Del Rio against Edge & Rey Mysterio. As a result, SmackDown General Manager Theodore Long changed the main event into an impromptu Handicap Match.
While the match was in progress, Kane charged to the ring and attacked The Ultimate Opportunist. Edge quickly gained the advantage and took off, with “The Devil’s Favorite Demon” hot on his heels. Mysterio and Del Rio battled on. In the end, The Ultimate Underdog reigned supreme over Del Rio with an explosive 619-splash combination. Full results.
