Financial Status of Shane McMahon's Company - China Broadband, Inc.

China Broadband, Inc. starts 2011 with an increasing share price. Just like the sudden increase in the last days ofCBBD.jpg December, there is no specific reason for the positive development on the market during this week.

Throughout 2010, rapid increases and decreases of the share price were very common for CBI. Yet, they benefited only short-term speculative investors as the stock price has eventually decreased from $0.20 per share in the beginning of the year to $0.075 at present.

Another interesting fact is the number of traded shares, especially during yesterday`s session as it was higher than 3 million. This is more than 15 times above the average volume for 2010, excluding only two occassions in the previous year when more shares where traded in a single day.

It is also important to mention that China Broadband was involved in a series of mergers and acquisitions on the Chinese market, and it is through them that the company actually operates there. Several changes in the management were also made, yet, it is in 2011 to be seen whether the right choices have been made.

Chine Broadband`s business of providing television and internet services in the most populated country in the world is actually one of true potential. But, as in any booming industry, not everyone is a winner.

While recent movements in the stock price bring positive notions for the near future, a closer look at the financial side of the business reveals a much less optimistic picture. Now, according to the last 10-Q report, last year the company had total assets worth a little more than $10.5 million and liabilities of $9.6 million. But more important is the total net loss for 2010 of $11.2 million, or twice more than in 2009. Having in mind that the company intends to continue financing its operations through debt and stock sales, it is unlikely that the recent movement of the share price would last long this time. In the past, it did not.

Triple H, The Rock & WWE Accuser -- Race Photos Could Crash His Case

The guy suing the WWE over an alleged injury he suffered at a live event 11 years ago might have a tough time in court -- because he not only races stock cars nowadays ... he also crashes them.

As we previously reported, Ronald Basham claims he was only 7-years-old when The Rock ran into the crowd during a match in Kentucky in 2000 ... sending a female fan stumbling onto Ronald's leg ... which caused injuries that have plagued him ever since.

But in the years that followed, Ronald not only played high school football ... he also picked up a dangerous little hobby -- stock car racing ... a hobby that he loved to document with photos all over his public Facebook page.

However, after filing his lawsuit ... the photos, which include shots of Ronald crashing into a wall, suddenly went MIA.

Ronald's lawyer tells us, "He has a long medical history with knee problems and as far as I know his knee was never injured [from racing cars]."

WWE Superstars Results: No Kidding Around

On a recent edition of Raw, Tyson Kidd made it clear to Daniel Bryan that he wants to take his United States Championship. In tonight’s “WWE Superstars” main event, the arrogant Kidd may have earned an opportunity to compete for that title when he pinned Bryan in a heated tag team bout. Forming a surprisingly strong alliance with the snide Ted DiBiase, the Hart Dungeon-trained Superstar struggled with the powerful Mark Henry in the early part of the match, but used any underhanded trick he could pull out to survive. Finally, after interference from DiBiase distracted The World’s Strongest Man, Kidd was able to avoid Bryan’s LeBell Lock and connect with a fisherman’s neckbreaker for an impressive win. Full results.

Interview with Daniel Bryan

WWE star Daniel Bryan recently did an interview for SLAM! Wrestling. Below are a couple excerpts:

On his WWE return: "When they [WWE] called me to bring me back, John Laurenitis, the head of talent relations, was adamant that I try to keep as many of my independent bookings as I could. That kind of took me by surprise. It was really cool because I owe a lot to my independent fans and the promoters who booked me, so it was really cool for them to react that way."

On having The Miz as his NXT pro: "I was actually hoping for a little bit of mentoring from him," Bryan told SLAM! Wrestling in an October 2010 interview, prior to coming to Winnipeg for a WWE house show. "People might be shocked by that, but my weaknesses are his strengths and his weaknesses are my strengths. My weakness has always been that you don't look at me and say, 'Oh that guy's a WWE superstar,' whereas The Miz carries himself like a superstar and he believes he's a superstar, whereas I don't think I'm better than my neighbor."...More?
