And why wouldn't there be, really, considering the carnival freak show that is wrestling? A wrestling show brings together freaks of all ages and creeds, all with different ambitions and agendas. In the feature-length documentary This Wrestling Life, the camera is pointed at four such freaks: a wrestler running out of time to make into the big leagues; a young kid determined to follow in his hero's footsteps; a young woman grappling with learning the ropes and her own personal limitations and a gay man trying to make it as a referee...More?

Update on the Probability of Jeff Hardy Serving Jail Time

The Wrestling Observer is reporting that based on statements made by Maureen Kruger, who is the judge handling Jeff Hardy's current court case, the expectation is that Hardy's plea bargain will entail the drug trafficking charge being dropped and Hardy will then plead guilty as a first time drug offender. The trafficking charge carries a mandatory prison sentence, so if that is dropped then he might avoid jail time altogether and face penalties by way of fines and probation.

Nick Gage, Jailed Icon of Violent Wrestling, Speaks of Drugs & Bank Heist

Nick Gage, a berserker whose brutal brand of wrestling has made him a legend in the Philadelphia-based Combat Zone Wrestling, has been set on fire, hit with chairs, tables and worse, and has seen his blood spilled all around the world.

The only thing that could stop Gage was Gage, also known as Nicholas W. Wilson, the South Jersey native who created the character in 1999. Last month, Wilson, 30, may have sidelined his alter ego for years when he allegedly walked into a Collingswood Bank and handed a teller a note demanding money.

"Gage" was supposed to stir things up at a CZW event held in South Philly last night, but Wilson was in the Camden County Jail on $150,000 bail for robbery charges.

Speaking publicly about his arrest for the first time, Wilson told the Daily News that he's ready to do his time, get clean from drug addictions that have plagued him for years, and eventually get back to what he does best, kicking ass...More?
