Rumor Mill - Triple H Pushing For Major WWE Developmental Overhaul
In what may be the very first clue of post-Vince McMahon World Wrestling Entertainment, Triple H is pushing hard behind the scenes for what a key insider described to WrestleZone as "a major overhaul" to the developmental system.
"It's no secret within WWE that Triple H feels the developmental system is a joke," our inside source told us this evening, "and the Florida developmental area looks to be a runaway train."
Our source tells us that Triple H has pitched directly to Vince McMahon that Jim Ross be utilized in a recruiting capacity, while Triple H would oversee more of what Talent Relations Executive John Laurinaitis does on a daily basis in terms of checking up on the system.
JR on his conversation with Triple H this past weekend: "Had a great talk with HHH in Chicago who is also looking good but I do not know his future plans re: returning to the ring. The Game has a very bright, insightful mind for the business. I like his personal business philosophies on wrestling. HHH was interested in my upcoming trip to FCW this week as the future of WWE rests largely inside the four walls of the FCW Training facility."

WWE Superstars Results: Jack's Back
Trent Barreta can’t seem to get a win streak going. Suffering a series of losses in recent weeks on “WWE Superstars,” the talented youngster’s woes continued tonight as he found himself outmatched by the cocky Jack Swagger. A former World Heavyweight Champion, “The All-American American” had a distinct advantage over his opponent in experience, size and confidence. This was clear as Swagger threw Barreta around the ring before finishing him off with a wrenching ankle lock submission. Full results.

Will Triple H Return for WrestleMania?
IGN talks to The Game about his big comeback, Kevin Nash & Booker T and USA's Tough Enough:
So with the Royal Rumble over and done with and the "Road to WrestleMania" now officially underway, can we expect to see Hunter back on TV anytime soon? "You can," Triple H said. "The rumor is that I'll be back for WrestleMania. Yeah, so that's the rumor. But, I'll be back sooner than later. We're still promoting [The Chaperone] through the WWE shows so obviously people are awaiting my return. So I'll be back sooner than later."...More?
Vince McMahon Comments on the Future of the Raw Guest Host/Star Concept
Regarding celebrity involvement on Raw in the guest host/guest star role, McMahon said they will be more selective on how they use celebrities going forward.
"Once you get in the grind of weekly basis, you get into secondary stars and the audience goes, 'Wait a minute, that guy or gal isn't that big of a star,'" he said.
McMahon echoed comments by former WWE writer John Piermarini in PWTorch's "Torch Talk" with Wade Keller that it became burdensome to integrate celebrities into shows built around WWE's own stars and storylines on a weekly basis.
"We're going forward with bigger stars on select basis rather than have a weekly formula," he said. "It takes away time from developing your own stars."

WWE Reports 2010 Fourth Quarter and Full Year Results, Posting Record Full Year EBITDA and 6% Rise in Net Income
“In 2010, WWE achieved record operating performance, generating the highest level of reported EBITDA in the Company’s history despite a challenging environment, particularly over the latter part of the year. Difficult trends continued in the fourth quarter and were exacerbated by the performance of Home Video,” stated Vince McMahon, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. “For the quarter and the full year, our businesses exhibited three major areas of strength: increased value from our television content, significant growth from our new toy licensing partnership with Mattel, and continued financial discipline. These strengths served to mitigate the impact of a weak economy, changes in our talent base, and unfavorable industry trends in home video. We remain confident that we can address our talent related challenges, expand both our content and distribution and, leveraging our strengths, drive meaningful growth.”...More?
