Triple H Dishes on WWE's 'The Chaperone'

“What we do is tell stories, and then we have this marketing machine behind it. But the heart of it is just storytelling, and that’s really what making movies comes down to,” said the wrestler, who’s also an executive advisor at the company and McMahon’s son-in-law.

Levesque attributes WWE Studios’ burgeoning popularity in part to its streamlined production process, taking such approaches as shooting all its movies in the New Orleans area to benefit from Louisiana’s optimal tax breaks and the utilization of the same production crew.

“We’re throwing the Hollywood template on its ear a little bit,” Levesque said. “Making these movies back to back, saving money on the cost of making them, shrinking the DVD window to allow us to only have to spend one sum on promotion and recoup faster — it’s a different way of doing things, but we think it will hopefully be a better way.”...More?

Former WWE Creative Team Member Says 2.21.11 Storyline Should Include Triple H

In his return blog, former WWE creative team member Seth Mates reveals how he would play out the “2.21.11″ storyline:

“Do a Cold Open with the trenchcoat-man video, but instead of ending with ’2.21.11,’ end with the word ‘TONIGHT,’ Mates writes.

“Raw theme plays, announcers welcome everyone, lights go out, out comes Taker. Crowd pops big, announcers say that this must be the man in the video.
As he starts talking, lights go out again. Video plays again, only this time instead of ending in ‘tonight,’ it says, ‘NOW.’

”Lights stay low, mysterious music plays, out walks a man in a trenchcoat, face obscured. He walks to ring, stands face to face with Taker, and then unmasks — it’s Triple H.”
