NY Times’s Outstanding Playwright Award Goes to Kristoffer Diaz for his Satire of Professional Wrestling
Kristoffer Diaz is the winner of the 2011 New York Times Outstanding Playwright Award for “The Elaborate Entrance of Chad Deity,” his satire of professional wrestling and the ethnic stereotypes and political imagery of that industry, The Times has announced. The award, created in 2009, recognizes an American playwright whose work recently received its professional debut in New York; “Chad Deity” was produced Off Broadway in 2010 by Second Stage Theater, drawing mostly positive reviews. Documentary Focusing on Women's Wrestling in Bolivia Released on DVD
Mamachas del Ring, an incredible new documentary is on DVD today. Directed by Betty M. Park, Mamachas is the story of four women who led a revolution of cholita wrestling (female wrestling) in Bolivia.

Regrettably, technical difficulties occurred once more leading up to the night’s Six-Man Tag Team Match main event, when it became apparent to WWE management that text votes were again not being tabulated properly. At this time, a decision was made to turn to WWE.com’s Live Chat Poll for the official judgment. With the power still in the hands of the people, the WWE Universe selected the Elimination Match (option C) by an overwhelming 87 percent, leading to this stipulation being enacted.
Television Ratings for the 3-Hour 'Power to the People' Ediiton of Monday Night Raw
Last night's three-hour episode of WWE's Monday Night RAW with a "Power to the People" theme scored a 3.1 cable rating overall and a 3.3 rating in the normal two hours.
WWE Announces Another Voting Error From Last Night's Raw
WWE.com has announced that the other voting error from last night's "Power of the People" edition of Monday Night Raw was in the Dolph Ziggler vs Kofi Kingston match. The stipulation fans "supposedly" voted for was "2 out of 3 Falls". However, WWE.com is now saying that it should have been Vickie Guerrero being banned from ringside.
Triple H to Appear on Shawn Michaels New Show
WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels spoke with Arda Ocal on the Right After Wrestling show this week and revealed that Triple H will be appearing on an episode of his new "outdoor lifestyle" show on the Outdoor Channel. Apparently the two will be hunting crocodiles.
