Divas of Doom ... or Salvation?
Stinkfaces. Booty poppin'. If you're a purist about a woman's place inside the WWE ring, you must be wondering what Fabulous Moolah is thinking looking down on the Divas division. Would the iconic figure chalk up the current flux of the division on changing times, or would she say, "Someone needs to save this"?
Beth Phoenix and Natalya, the "Divas of Doom," think so. However, are The Glamazon and third-generation Diva just the two women to call "saviors"?
This Day in Wrestling History
Frank Gotch again defeats George Hackenschmidt in their rematch from 1908 in front of a reported crowd of 25,000 at White Sox (Comiskey) Park. Hackenschmidt badly injures his knee prior to the match, allegedly at the hands of Ad Santell. Supposedly, and this is one of pro wrestling's great unsolved mysteries, Santel was paid a sum of money to hook Hackenschmidt in training. Gotch hated Hackenschmidt and didn't want to give him a rematch.

What Promise has Vince McMahon Made to Mae Young?
In the latest edition of WWE Magazine cover-dated October 2011, Mae Young is profiled with an in-depth look at her career dating back to the mid-1900s to her cameo appearances today. At the end of the article is Young describing a promise made by WWE CEO Vince McMahon if Young lives to be 100-years-old.
"I plan on wrestling when I'm 100. My grandmother lived to be 113, so I figure I can make it into the ring when I'm 100. Vince promised me a match with his daughter, Stephanie, and his granddaughter, Aurora Rose, when I'm 100-years-old. I've got to live to see that."

Update on WWE Interest in Dragon Gate Wrestlers
Pwinsider.com is reporting that there will be no immediate hiring of any DGUSA talents by WWE. Basically, the company reached out to several talents they were potentially interested in, so there's a few guys on the radar but no one who's about to get snatched up. Gabe Sapolsky was very happy that some of the roster was starting to get recognized for their work.
