A match is set up in Los Angeles to unify the World titles between Joe Stecher and Ed "Strangler" Lewis. Lewis no-shows and is replaced by John Pesek. The match is split at one fall apiece going into the final fall, when Pesek gets Stecher in a wrist lock. Stecher is obviously beaten but the referee steps in and diqualifies Pesek for using an illegal "choke," thus saving Stecher's title.

As evidenced by a virtually unanimous vote of “no confidence” in The Game’s leadership on Monday’s WWE Raw SuperShow, not even the battle-tested Raw Superstars and Divas are willing to tolerate the caustic environment The King of Kings has created. Yet, the responsibility for the current state of WWE might not rest on Triple H’s massive shoulders after all, but rather on a clandestine saboteur orchestrating his downfall.
Flabbergasted by The Game’s continuous luster in the eyes of the WWE Universe (despite his contentious relationship with the company), someone in a position of power might have nominated Triple H to become COO in an act of retaliation against The King of Kings. Moreover, they could possibly be targeting the entire McMahon clan, especially given the recent fall of Vince McMahon himself. After all, if an insubordinate employee like Triple H spent his career giving you headaches only to eventually marry into the family business, wouldn’t you be bitter too?...More?

The rivalry between WWE’s two Sin Caras, who collided like Mexican missiles at WWE Hell in a Cell last Sunday, truly began more than a decade ago, ironically over the right to use another ring name. According to both Sin Caras - who spoke exclusively to WWE.com - the dispute is one neither has forgotten, nor plan to until only one Sin Cara is left standing.
How Vince McMahon Used CM Punk to Prove a Point
About three months ago, CM Punk came onto the Monday Night Raw broadcast and shook the business to its core. He ran through every facet of the company and showed its flaws. The question since that day has been why the WWE allowed this.
Why did they ask CM Punk to go out on their show and shoot on what the WWE had done wrong? Looking at it today, the answer has been staring us all right in the face. The WWE did not set out to create controversy and say that they have problems to deal with. This entire storyline is about the WWE showing that they know what they are doing.
The WWE has stood tall for years, showing itself to be superior to all other promotions for over a decade. For years, an Internet community has formed to comment and complain about the many ideas and facets in the WWE today because the WWE has no competition to do it for them.
So after years of whining and subjective viewing of the pro wrestling promotion, WWE finally decided to respond to its critics in the best way possible: by giving them what they wanted.
The IWC was given a voice in CM Punk, as he aired many of the IWC's complaints front and center on the WWE's own program. He gained fame and power from his statements and even caused the WWE's chairman Vince McMahon to resign. In his place, Triple H stepped in. He tried to appease the fans and give them what they would want. JR on commentary and shows that are unsegregated by the brand divisions began. Just as he tried all of this, his entire company fell apart. It collapsed under the weight of controversy and anarchy.
The kicker was that CM Punk was again front and center to air our grievances about each little WWE mistake. He would complain about Triple H's management style and the fact that Cena was still in control. CM Punk would continue fighting and trying to show that he was right. He was a voice trying to make things even better than they already were, supposedly. He caused Triple H to lose his grasp more and more.
Where is this all leading? Last night, Monday Night Raw collapsed. Triple H lost his company when the entire roster had a vote of no confidence against Triple H. Some may not remember, but Vince McMahon lost his job to Triple H when the Board of Directors had a vote of no confidence in his ability. The connections and irony there are uncanny. Was this all a way for the WWE to give a message to the IWC? Perhaps the work here was not just about telling a story. The message of this story could have easily been a commentary to the IWC itself.
We always complain and complain for good and bad reasons. Nothing is ever quite good enough. Perhaps the WWE is saying that if they aired all of our grievances, they would collapse as well.
When Vince McMahon comes back and takes his company back under his wing, everything will be focused and orderly again. He will bring the WWE back to normality, where it has sat for years. Instead of giving us what we want, the WWE has created an elaborate critique of their own to say that they know what they are doing more than we do....More?

Prosecutor Amends TNA Champion Kurt Angle's DUI Charge
The Warren County Commonwealth's Attorney Office has reduced a driving under the influence charge against pro wrestling champion Kurt Angle to reckless driving.
Angle was absent from a hearing Tuesday in Warren General District Court during which Assistant Commonwealth's Attorney Michael Fleming disclosed the amended charge. Reckless driving and driving under the influence as a first-time offense carry the same penalties -- a maximum of one year in jail and a $2,500 fine.
Fleming distributed a press release before the hearing. It read in part: "Based upon our review, the commonwealth feels that a reckless driving charge is strongly supported by the evidence and we have elected to prosecute that charge in lieu of the charge of driving while intoxicated."
WWE Stock Ready to Bounce Back
Shares of wrestling promoter WWE(WWE_) got slammed last Spring when the company cut its dividend, but Mark Travis, portfolio manager for the Intrepid Small Cap Fund(ICMAX_), says the stock is ready to get up off the mat.
"You have a clean balance sheet and $170 million in cash," says Travis. "The perception is that WWE wrestling events are suffering due to a weakened consumer, and while there may be some truth to that, you also have the TV contracts which mitigate the ticket sale volatility."

Sting: Jeff Hardy Has A Lot To Prove
Wrestling icon Sting has welcomed Jeff Hardy back to the business — but insists it will take time for the former addict to regain the trust of his colleagues.
Hardy was booted out of TNA Wrestling after getting wasted before the main event of the Victory Road PPV in March.
The state the former world champion was in left the Stinger with little choice but to end their headline bout after just 90 seconds.
Hardy was sent home in disgrace and ordered to get help or forget about ever setting foot inside a TNA ring again.
Having vowed that he had cleaned up his act, the fallen idol was allowed to return to the company last month.
And Sting believes a clean and fully focused Hardy can only be good for the wrestling business...More?

William Regal Comments on Walking Out on Triple H
William Regal wrote the following on Twitter last night regarding Triple H and the RAW walkout:
"Some people have asked about the walkout on Raw.My personal reasons for my action was that I think HHH has enough on his plate being the COO.I know exactly what it takes to be in charge of Raw and it comes at a dear price(or it did with me).HHH is in charge of the WWE.He needs to concentrate on the company as a whole and put a suitable candidate in charge of the Raw brand.
Although we haven't had much to do with each other(apart from the odd scuffle)18 years ago myself and HHH where very close. We choose separate paths but my heart went out to him last night as for whatever has happened in our respective lives,we where once friends.
I don't agree with the superstars on any of there reasons for walking out on HHH.I just want him to share some of his burden. And I hope this message gets to him and he respects my view."
