WrestleMania Makes Record $62 Million For Atlanta


WWE announced today that WrestleMania XXVII generated $62.1 million in economic impact for the city of Atlanta, according to a study conducted by the Enigma Research Corporation.

This is a new record for WrestleMania’s economic impact, and a $17 million increase over WrestleMania XXVI. WrestleMania XXVII also generated approximately $7.8 million in local, state and county taxes...More?

Rumor Mill - Shawn Michaels Returning to WWE TV Soon?


At Sunday's Vengeance pay-per-view, Kevin Nash made a surprise return and brutally attacked Triple H. There was a lot of talk backstage at Vengeance that Michaels could return to television and get involved in the Nash-Triple H storyline.

WWE is planning to release several new pieces of DX merchandise soon.

Former WWE broadcaster apologizes for inappropriate comment


It didn't take long for former WWE broadcaster Todd Grisham to stir up controversy at his new ESPN job. Grisham referenced the "trail of tears" while discussing the Oklahoma Sooners loss to Texas Tech in college football over the weekend.

Some viewers were offended because the phrase historically refers to American Cherokees being forcibly removed from their land. "The historical reference didn't even cross my mind," Grisham wrote on his Twitter page apology. You can read more at USAToday.com.

Nigel McGuinness Returning to the Ring for HWA


Nigel McGuinness will be returning to the ring for the first time since his days with TNA for the Heartland Wrestling Association promotion on 11/12 in Hamilton, Ohio.
