Curt Hawkins Comments On Getting Heat From Midcard Mafia Web Series With Tyler Reks
“It was within the same mold at Zack,” Hawkins, who now lives in Queens, said of the project. “You can’t just duplicate it. That’s not going to work. We brainstormed a different idea. Tyler is very talented with computer animation. I kind of wrote and edited it. We just crossed the line a little bit too much. In a way it worked because we were at the bottom of the totem pole. Even if we brought in a negative light, we brought a light, to some degree.”
Just a few episodes in, the show was over thanks to not-too-pleased WWE management, and the released episodes were scrubbed from the Web.
Triple H challenges Brock Lesnar to a match at SummerSlam
As far as Triple H is concerned, the time for games is over. The WWE COO challenged the man who broke his arm — former WWE and UFC Champion Brock Lesnar — to meet him in the ring at SummerSlam to settle their issues “like fighters.”
“I’m really not a corporate guy,” said an intense Game. “I’m proposing we put all this legal crap behind us. We’re fighters, Brock, and I want to fight you. I want to fight you bad, Brock. Brock Lesnar versus Triple H at SummerSlam. Let’s do this. Let’s fight!"
Triple H’s message to Brock was short and anything but sweet.
If Lesnar and his legal representative, Paul Heyman, accept the challenge, they would have to drop their lawsuits against WWE and Triple H for breach of contract and assault and battery, respectively. WWE.com has previously speculated what the ramifications of Lesnar and Heyman being in legal right would be.
After Sunday night’s challenge by Triple H, the question that now needs to be answered is whether Brock Lesnar wants to fight for his millions on the mat or in a court of law. Whether or not Lesnar and Heyman want to play ball remains to be seen. All that’s certain at this moment is that the ball is now in their court.

Rumor Mill - NXT To Take FCW's Old Time Slot?
There have been talks that the new NXT program will take over FCW's former TV time slot on The Brighthouse Network.
Rumor Mill - Early Creative Plans For Triple H vs Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam
According to F4WOnline.com, early WWE creative plans, which can always change, are indeed calling for Triple H to face Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam this year, despite the rocky relationship between Lesnar and WWE.
At this point, the match being discussed would see Vince McMahon in Triple H's corner, and John Laurinaitis in Brock Lesnar's corner. This scenario would involve Cena winning tonight at No Way Out, then McMahon firing Laurinaitis, which would then see the Board of Directors support Laurinaitis and he would return, along with Lesnar as his enforcer, to take out Triple H.
Heath Slater Speaks on Wrestling Vader and His WWE Future
WWE wrestler Heath Slater joined Washington Redskins defensive end Adam Carriker and Chuck Carroll on this week's "4th & Pain" -- the only pro wrestling show hosted by an NFL player. It was Carriker's first time being on the other side of an interview and actually ASKING the questions.
Slater talked a lot about facing Vader on last Monday's RAW. Like Carroll, he was scared of Vader growing up. That big smoke-shooting helmet he'd wear to the ring was frightening. He also talked about his goals for the second half of 2012 and how he's able to keep his name out in the WWE Universe when he's not necessarily getting as much TV time as he'd hope for.
The full interview with Slater can be heard http://4thandpain.com/2012/06/4th-pain-wwe-superstar-heath-slater-interview-aj-is-crazy-vince-and-vader-are-back-wwe-no-way-out-picks-and-redskins-news/">here.

A Brief History of Wrestling Fakery
Ah, the Reality Era. It was almost one year ago that CM Punk sat cross-legged on the mat and delivered the most memorable, scathing promo in recent wrestling history. He launched WWE into a spiral of reality-based story lines that include, but are not limited to, the following: Triple H publicly embracing his front-office role; Trip's real-life buddy Kevin Nash limping into various story lines; John Cena questioning his role as WWE messiah; The Miz and R-Truth becoming vigilante cheap-shot artists in search of TV time; the entire WWE locker room staging a walkout to protest unsafe working conditions; and, at various times, Triple H and WWE chairman Vince McMahon being relieved of various duties, thus ushering in the unintentionally hilarious reign of current general manager John Laurinaitis.
Since then, despite the vague feeling that we were still in a new era, reality wasn't really an organizing principle. Punk became ingrained as the WWE champion, which made it all but impossible for him to operate as a subversive force; his beefs with Chris Jericho and, more recently, Daniel Bryan, touch on real life but mostly exist within WWE's alternate universe. Cena, for his part, has had his dance card filled with Kane and The Rock and Brock Lesnar, a sort of evolutionary spectrum of the Reality movement — from a cartoon villain to an action movie star to an actual UFC heavyweight champ — but even so, Cena's shtick remains couched in the old-school superheroics of a bygone era.
Not that there's anything wrong with this. Wrestling — even in the Reality Era — will never be reality, nor should it be. Since the earliest days of pro wrestling, the sport's otherworldliness has been its calling card. And since the first moment that it was exposed to be a "fake" sport, the industry has adapted and thrived.
