As reported previously by pwinsider.com, WWE and TNA had a court hearing on 6/28 about the wording used by the Chancery Court in Nashville regarding the dissolution of TNA's temporary restraining order against WWE. WWE had argued that some of the language, taken from a proposed draft written by TNA, could come back to hurt WWE's legal arguments later on.
On 7/3, the court ruled in WWE's favor, noting:
*The 6/8 order against WWE has been dissolved.
*No temporary injunction against WWE is needed.
*There is no need to expedite discovery. WWE and TNA will decide upon discovery so that they can both make it work with their respective scheduling
*WWE will immediately contact TNA if Brian Wittenstein attempts to provide them with additional confidential TNA information.
There is no immediate danger of WWE causing irreparable harm to TNA.
The next hearing in the case is set for 7/13 in Nashville.

Rumor Mill - WWE Interested In Working with UFC Fighter Who Has Ties to Punk and Austin
F4Wonline.com reports that WWE is interested in working with 35 year old UFC fighter “The American Gangster” Chael Sonnen. Sonnen lost to Anderson Silva at Saturday’s UFC 148 pay-per-view but word is that WWE is ready to negotiate. No word yet if they want him to wrestle or play another kind of role.
Sonnen has ties to WWE as he is friends with WWE Champion CM Punk. Punk was ready to accompany Sonnen to the Octagon for a fight several months back but that was nixed.
Sonnen is also close to WWE Hall of Famer Steve Austin. Austin has been bringing Sonnen out to his Broken Skull Ranch in Texas to help him with strength and conditioning training.

WWE Signing Indy Wrestlers
As reported earlier, WWE has recently reached out to top independant wrestler PAC. Now pwinsider is reporting that Sara Del Ray has been offered a development deal.
It looks like WWE may have signed yet another indy worker, as rumors are circulating about Matt Taven, who was recently seen on TV for Ring of Honor, being offered a developmental contract. Neither party has confirmed the rumor.
A source within WWE says expect to see a lot of top independent talents signed in the next year. This is reportedly part of Triple H's changes for WWE's talent development.
