Former Wrestler Joins Roller Derby Team
Lindenhurst actress and stunt woman Stephanie Finochio - also famous for her professional WWE wrestling persona Trinity - has taken on a new role as a jammer (scorer) for the recently founded, Suffolk County-based roller derby team Strong Island Derby Revolution.
Prior to taking on this new sports role, Finochio starred in the 2011 film Jesse. She's also starring in the upcoming indie film The Night Never Sleeps, which shot scenes at Top Bun in Lindy this past December.
"Roller derby is this amazing unique sport....I played sports my whole life since high school, and something about roller derby makes it so unique....It's so physical, it's rough, it's tough, [and] there's strategy involved. It's a great mental and physical sport. I love it," Finochio, a Lindy alum, told Lindenhurst Patch.
The team recently held and won its home season opener in Saint James 94 to 88 against the Worcester (Massachusetts) Warriors...More?

Rumor Mill - Proposed Role for Terry Taylor In WWE
Terry Taylor is being brought back by WWE for a new developmental job near WWE headquarters in Stamford, CT. The proposed role for Taylor is heading up something of a “finishing school” – a place where the top guys in FCW will be coached by him more individually before going to the main roster. The plan is to take around 10 or so of the best guys in developmental, the ones closest to being called up, and give them to Taylor for new ideas before their debut.

Mania Was Average Until Taker Faced Triple H
Steve Austin reckons The Undertaker's Wrestlemania showdown against Triple H saved the event from being a flop.
Six-time WWE world champion Austin told SunSport: “‘I don’t watch all the WWE PPV events these days, but WrestleMania is always a must see.
"The Undertaker and Triple H match made it special. Going into it, I thought how will they better last year? How do you follow something like that?
“But they did. It was at about the 8-10 minute mark when I saw them dig beyond the solid work they had done and pull out all of the stops.
"Shawn Michaels was a real benefit there too. He was perfect in his referee role.
“I believe the match they had was off the charts. If it hadn’t been for it, the event would have failed. It was very average until then.”

Former ROH Champ Calls ROH "Shell Of Its Former Self"
TNA X Division champion Austin Aries, the only two-time ROH World champion, offered his thoughts on the State of Ring of Honor in an interview with Sports Vibe in the U.K. promoting TNA's Lockdown PPV.
Aries quote: "I'll be really honest with you, the Ring of Honor today is not anything like the Ring of Honor that the likes of C.M. Punk, Daniel Bryan, and myself came from. Obviously they are still operating under the same name, but the company has changed so much over the years and it's really a shell of it's former self in terms of the vision and thought process. The original Ring of Honor and the Ring of Honor today are two completely different things, I like to call it Smokey Mountain of Honor." From a talent perspective, Aries added, "There is no money in Ring of Honor, and that means they will only be able to secure talent for a certain amount of time before they move somewhere else."
