GC: How did you get involved with pro wrestling in the first place?
TS: I was doing baseball in the mid-1980s at Charlotte in the Southern League
and it just so happened that the family that owned the team also promoted
wrestling. They needed a wrestling announcer part time. I was practically starving
back then and needed the money. We had two kids and one on the way. A year
later, I was making more doing wrestling part time than I was baseball full time...More?
