PWinsider.com is reporting that due to the financial situation, as part of the budget cuts, the referee policy is being changed. Previously, referees have been assigned to one brand and would tour with that brand for house shows.
This policy has been scrapped, and from now on WWE will have one group of referees on the road one week, then another group on the next week.
The company will go by seniority, which means that referees who have a longer tenure will get more work while others may be sent back down to WWE developmental or possibly be released from the company.
