With an Oscar nomination under his belt for his gripping performance in 'The Wrestler,' Mickey Rourke's roller-coaster ride back to the top of Hollywood is one for the ages. Now, Rourke is opening up about just how close to the bottom he was to Matt Lauer, and why he was hesitant to take the part that has resurrected his career.
Talking with Lauer on 'Today' on Friday, Rourke said that there "were some parallels there that were a little too close to home" between himself and 'The Wrestler' character Randy 'The Ram' Robinson.
