World Wrestling Entertainment head Linda McMahon, who awaits confirmation to the state's school board, on Tuesday clarified to Republican Gov. M. Jodi Rell that her college major was French, not education, as she previously stated.
But McMahon added she completed her education course requirements at East Carolina University and, following an internship and testing, was certified to teach in North Carolina. McMahon, CEO of Stamford-based WWE, is a Greenwich resident.
"This discrepancy was brought to my attention today by a reporter from the Stamford Advocate," McMahon wrote to Rell late Tuesday.
McMahon's ECU biography stated in 1969 she obtained her bachelor's degree in French, contrary to the governor's news release and to McMahon's official biography provided by the WWE....More?
