KYDA Pro Wrestling at Career Day

It was career day at Metz Middle School in Manassas on Tuesday and 60 professionals came to share some of their “real world” experience.

Firefighters, police officers, business owners and even professional wrestlers showed up just after 9 a.m., each of them escorted to their own classroom full of 7th and 8th grade students full of questions.

“One of my favorite was ’do you have health insurance?’” said James A. Zaveski, owner of KYDA Pro Wrestling. “I thought it was a great question because everyone always asks about how much you make, but never about benefits.” Zaveski is a former Manassas Park high school counselor turned business owner.

“I think the main thing here is to tell these kids that even though they may not want to be wrestlers, there is the account that helps the wrestler out, there is the business manager that promotes the wrestler. It’s important they never give up on their dreams,” said Zaveski...More?
