Wrestling Revolution Announces It Has Raised Funding And Will Begin Production This Fall

Jeff Katz, the Hollywood Producer (Wolverine, Freddy vs. Jason, etc.) that started his career working for WCW, announced yesterday that his Wrestling Revolution project has raised complete funding for a taping of ten episodes that will be staged this Fall in the Los Angeles area.

Katz, who has long talked of doing something within wrestling as he felt he owes his success to his time in WCW before he moved onto New Line Cinema, started the project as something where fans would raise money. After fans raised over $41,000 after 41 days, Katz went out and secured the remaining capital, believed to be in the $100,000 area.

On his Twitter account, Katz wrote, "I looked on Sunday on the wrestling revolution twitter account and they announced an announcement for Monday, I just checked the account and they announcement is 'The #wrestlingrevolution project is 100% funded and officially in pre-production. Planning for a late autumn shoot. More news to come.' Now the project is in pre production I hope you get a interview with Jeff Katz sometime near the air date to talk about it, also I hope you get news soon on which talent they are booking for the season, if people like Dave Lagana are involved "

Katz announced they will begin production late fall, liked late October/early November.

Katz also wrote, "Now the really fun part. I've only revealed 50% of the real surprise. Another announcement is forthcoming. Stay tuned. #wrestlingrevolution'"

The original plan was to film the 10 episodes "season" and distribute it through an online medium.
