WWE Releases Spanish Announcer Hugo Savinovich

Longtime WWE Spanish announcer Hugo Savinovich has announced via his official YouTube channel that he has parted ways with the company.

Savinovich made the announcement yesterday. He stated that he was informed by WWE that his contract was expiring and it would not be renewed. Savinovich took the opportunity to thank Vince McMahon for giving him the opportunity to work with the organization after battling a drug addiction.

As for any future plans, Savinovich says he doesn't know whether or not he will be calling any wrestling matches, but he has stated that he will soon start writing a book that will be "dedicated to spreading the word of God."

Savinovich first joined WWE back in 1997 and called matches alongside colleague Carlos Cabrera.
