Tammy "Sunny" Sytch to Enter WWE Sponsored Rehab Once Again

Following a court appearance Tuesday morning, a former WWE diva is expected to enter into a treatment center on the company's dime.

Tamara Sytch, known to wrestling fans as Sunny, was arrested five times in the past month for charges related to domestic violence.

She appeared in New Haven Superior Court on Tuesday and her new attorney requested that she be sent to a treatment center in Pennsylvania. The WWE will drive her from court to the treatment center and pay it.



Sytch, who is known as the first WWE diva, is expected to appear again in court on Thursday to decide whether the request will be granted.

Sytch was previously arrested Sept. 11 and was charged with disorderly conduct. The next day, police again arrested and charged her with disorderly conduct, strangulation and violation of a protective order. In one of those incidents, she put her ex-boyfriend in a headlock, police said.

On Sept. 13, she was arrested again and charged her with violation of a protective order.

On Oct. 8, she was arrested after police found her intoxicated and sleeping inside her ex-boyfriend's Branford home. Sytch was charged with three counts of violation of a protective order, disorderly conduct and third-degree criminal mischief.

After bonding out on Oct. 9, a neighbor of the apartment complex noticed Sytch on the property again. She was arrested by police and charged with violating a protective order.

According to court papers, Sytch's bail bondsman brought her to her boyfriend's home. However, he would not comment to Eyewitness News about the incident.

The victim previously told Eyewitness News that the only one who can help Sytch is herself.

"When Tamara is sober, she is an amazing person, but when she drinks, she is an uncontrollable, violent demon," said the victim in a statement.

The WWE has sent Sytch, who has had problems with drugs and alcohol, to rehabilitation three times and has covered all the costs associated with the treatments.

"Unfortunately, Ms. Sytch continues to make poor personal choices," said the WWE in a statement last week. "WWE will continue to provide assistance should she want to take advantage of it."
