"Santa’s Helper" No. 1 Contender’s Diva Battle Royal

Naughty or nice, most Divas have the same wish this holiday season: winning the “Santa’s Helper” No. 1 Contender’s Diva Battle Royal this Sunday on the WWE TLC: Tables, Ladders & Chairs free online Pre-Show.

Eight of WWE’s fiercest females will light up Brooklyn, N.Y.’s Barclays Center like a tree in Rockefeller Center in the prelude to this Sunday’s pay-per-view. The Pre-Show will stream live on WWE.com, YouTube.com/WWE and Facebook.com/WWE starting at 7:30 p.m. ET/4:30 p.m. PT. Among the Divas gunning for Eve’s butterfly-emblazoned title are former champions Alicia Fox, Layla and Natalya, as well as Kaitlyn, AJ Lee, Rosa Mendes, Aksana and Tamina Snuka.

The last time the Divas collided in a Battle Royal — to decide the top challenger to then–Divas Champion Layla — WWE NXT season three winner Kaitlyn stunned the WWE Universe by outlasting Eve. Will luck strike the powerhouse Diva again, or will Kaitlyn find only coal in her stocking this Sunday?

Eve will surely keep a close eye on the over-the-top action that even Mrs. Claus would approve of. Aside from the former champions, the field is packed with threats to Eve’s title reign. Tamina Snuka has re-entered the Divas title contention in a big way, “Superfly”-splashing through lesser opponents. A rare exception to that was AJ, who upended Tamina with a quick, flash pinfall on the Dec. 3 Raw. Will Tamina’s power and intimidation help her cruise through the competition, will AJ’s tenacity pay off or will another Diva push her way to victory and a Divas Championship match?

Find out by clicking on to the free WWE TLC Pre-Show, streaming live this Sunday at 7:30 p.m. ET/4:30 p.m. PT.

Rumor Mill - WWE Putting the AJ/Cena Relationship Angle on Hold?

According to F4WOnline, WWE has put the relationship angle between John Cena and AJ Lee on hold. During this week's episode of Monday Night Raw, John Cena teamed with Sheamus to face World Heavyweight Champion the Big Show and Dolph Ziggler, while AJ Lee won a match against Tamina Snuka. The two did not interact backstage, as they have in recent weeks, and it appears that Dolph Ziggler may have removed himself from Vickie Guerrero as well.

The feeling is that with romantic pictures of John Cena and former WWE Diva Nikki Bella surfacing on the internet, they need to take some time off from the storyline before progressing.

WWE Diva AJ Lee's Hardest Knocks Happened Before She Became A Pro Wrestling Superstar

Next to a row of trophies and trading cards in her office, the most popular woman in the WWE keeps a golden nameplate from Pathmark supermarket — a reminder of life before the ring.

Emblazoned with the words, “100 percent employee,” it’s what wrestling superstar AJ Lee wore as a cashier in her native New Jersey.

“I liked being a janitor more than that,” AJ, whose real name is April Mendez, told the Daily News. “You’re on your feet all day. People kind of look right through you.”

Before life as a WWE Diva, scraping for cash was the norm. AJ spent a hard-knock childhood eating at food banks and living in cars and motel rooms across the Garden State.

“I didn’t have the easiest time growing up; it’s no secret,” she said. “We were just poor.”

But she grew up watching wrestling on TV, and told her family at age 12 she wanted a career in the ring. And after working the independent circuit in her late teens, she was signed by the WWE at age 21.

Now with big WWE appearances in Newark and at Barclays Center in Brooklyn in the next two weeks, she’s coming home on top...More?

John Cena to Respond to AJ Lee Controversy During WWE Hell in a Cell Pre-Show

Newly implicated in the “AJ scandal” that forced Ms. Lee to resign as Raw’s General Manager Monday, John Cena will face questions asked directly by the WWE Universe during the live WWE Hell in a Cell Pre-Show Sunday. Fans will be able to submit questions via Twitter, Tout and Facebook, using the hashtag #CenaPreShow.

The Pre-Show — which will stream live on WWE.com, Facebook.com/WWE and YouTube.com/WWE starting at 7:30 p.m. ET/4:30 p.m. PT — will mark Cena’s first appearance before the WWE Universe since “the AJ scandal” became public. Questions need not be limited to the embattled now-former GM, though.

AJ resigned as Raw’s GM hours after being called into an impromptu meeting with the WWE Board of Directors Monday. In resigning, AJ left a post that she held since July 23. Her temporary successor, Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero, later accused AJ of having an affair with a Superstar, and WWE cameras caught AJ informing Cena that he was the alleged Superstar. (READ: The AJ Scandal: Did AJ have an affair?)

Cena has outright denied claims of an affair, saying only that he and AJ had a “business meeting” the week before. AJ has concurred with his account.

However, on Sunday, before the WWE Hell in a Cell pay-per-view, the WWE Universe will get its chance to ask the hard questions of the Cenation leader. What will happen when the 12-time World Champion, who was already engulfed in a volatile rivalry with WWE Champion CM Punk before the “AJ scandal” broke, faces the scrutiny of the WWE Universe?

AJ Lee Comments on THQ's WWE '13

Promoting THQ’s WWE ’13 in New York City two weeks ago, AJ Lee couldn’t contain her excitement about being featured as a playable character in the game.

“Oh my gosh, it’s so surreal, I can’t even wrap my brain around this,” she told ESPN.com minutes after playing as herself for the first time. “This is over 10 years in the making for me and just a dream come true. I’m the luckiest person in the world.”

For her first match, Lee opted to face Stephanie McMahon.

“They asked me who I wanted to fight, and I’m so obsessed with Stephanie I knew I wanted to face her,” Lee said. “I love her, but for some reason I also want to fight her, so it was so amazing to see what it would look like if we were in the ring together.”
