CHIKARA & Filsinger Games Team Up in 2011
CHIKARA and Filsinger Games are proud to announce they are teaming up on all-new game featuring the CHIKARA roster! The game is scheduled for release in July, 2011.
"It's a match made in game and wrestling heaven," said owner Tom Filsinger. "Any CHIKARA fan, or in fact any wrestling or game fan, will love it!" CHIKARA is one of the most popular wrestling organizations in the United States featuring a variety of colorful and exciting wrestlers. The style of CHIKARA is perfectly suited for Filsinger Games, a company that for decades has released popular wrestling games like Champions of the Galaxy and Legends of Wrestling Card Game.
The all-CHIKARA game set will be an exciting new venture for both companies. Players will take control of CHIKARA, with a host of the most popular stars at their fingertips. CHIKARA Promotion Sold to Media Company
Worldwide Media Development Corporation (WMDC) of Reseda, CA is proud to announce the acquisition of CHIKARA, Inc./Five Star Promotions of Philadelphia, PA, effective today. Robert Lippincott, Executive Director for WMDC finalized the agreement of sale through the assistance of Karen Wright, acting vice-president of acquisitions.
"Karen (Wright) and Anton (Frady) deserve all the credit for bringing this exciting property to Worldwide. After nine seasons of reinventing an entire genre from the bottom up, CHIKARA is the premiere brand in its field, and it's time for the rest of the world to find out why."
It is expected that some of the directors from CHIKARA/Five Star will remain on during the transitional period. "I understand that Dave Coulier has an office there," Lippincott remarked, "and I'd really look forward to doing lunch with him (laughs.)"

CHIKARA: The Annual Torneo Cibernetico Hits Easton, PA on October 23rd
16 combatants will be divided into 2 squads, and they will do battle in an elimination match unlike any other - it's the Torneo Cibernetico...and it rolls into Easton in just under three weeks! On one side, captained by the mastermind of the Bruderschaft, Ares, will be a team representing the BDK. Opposite them, captain UltraMantis Black is assembling a team of the original generation of CHIKARA stars to help him wage war against these invaders. When the smoke clears in Easton, just one will be standing victorious!

CHIKARA Stars to Tour Japan with Osaka Pro Wrestling in October
CHIKARA announced today that Osaka Pro Wrestling in Japan will play host to some of CHIKARA's finest next month for a tour that begins directly after their events in Easton, PA and Hamden, CT. The stars of Osaka Pro made quite the impression on the CHIKARMY back at King of Trios 2010 with stand-out performances throughout the tournament, and now the stars of CHIKARA are looking to do the same abroad. Taking part in the Osaka Pro tour are:

Manami Toyota’s US Debut at CHIKARA in Baltimore, MD

Manami came out to a HUGE pop. All the streamers were thrown in for her. (Daizee got tied up in one and flipped out). Manami dominates the first few minutes with some submissions holds including a muta lock. Daizee chops her and hits her with knees but Toyota was unfazed and smacks her half-way across the ring. Daizee tries faking an injury but Toyota had none of it. Haze hits the Mind Trip to gain control. They both go for pinfalls (including a rolling back cradle that I’ve NEVER seen before). Manami gets back control but misses a dropkick through the ropes and Daizee hits a suicide crossbody. Afterwards they go back and forth with top rope attacks, bridging suplexes and the crowd chants, “This is awesome!” Daizee then gets cocky and falls prey to the Japanese Ocean Cyclone Suplex which ends the match.
Manami stands in the ring with everybody chanting, “Please come back.” I taunted Daizee after the match who told me to shut up (which was one of the highlghts of the evening). She was signing autographs after the show and suprisingly knew a good amount of English. I asked her if we would see more of her in the US in the future. She said she hopes so.

Bryan Danielson Speaks Following Successful Return to Indy Wrestling
The crowd inside the Taylor Town Trade Center was nearing a fever pitch as it awaited the return of Bryan Danielson to independent wrestling at "CHIKARA: We Must Eat Michigan's Brain" on Saturday night.
Those fans waiting for the familiar tones of "The Final Countdown" heartily booed as the WWE NXT theme "Wild and Young" was played instead. After several seconds of booing, "The Final Countdown" fired up. After a few more seconds, Danielson finally came through the curtain to the roaring approval of the hundreds of fans in attendance.
Once Danielson was in the ring, instead of throwing the standard streamers, the fans littered the ring with neckties, making light of Danielson choking WWE ring announcer Justin Roberts with his necktie during the June 7 edition of Monday Night Raw, the reason he was fired from WWE...More?

CHIKARA: Rudo Resurrection - The Video Game
CHIKARA has partnered with some like-minded gaming trailblazers to create "Rudo Resurrection," a new video game currently in pre-production, set for release later this year! This story-driven game takes full advantage of the ever-deepening CHIKARA mythology, and features the macabre UltraMantis Black as he re-animates characters from CHIKARA's storied past. We're proud to announce "Rudo Resurrection" is coming to multiple gaming platforms in 2010, and more information about this highly-anticipated project will follow, but for now, we want to confirm that the first three playable characters in the game will be none other than Fire Ant, Soldier Ant and Green Ant of the Colony!
