Dana White disagrees with WWE Network aspect, says McMahon "hates" UFC, talks Flair at Fight Night

UFC president Dana White says he does not think WWE made a good decision putting their monthly PPVs on the WWE Network as part of the $9.99-per-month offering.

White addressed the topic following the UFC Fight Night card on Wednesday. White was asked if he would consider putting UFC PPVs on their similar "Fight Pass" offering.

"Vince is a guy who is a trailblazer," White prefaced. "Who knows. Maybe that works for him. Doesn't make sense to me... Now you're seeing a lot of the distributors talking about dropping them. DirecTV and others, too, talking about dropping them."

White continued with his overall feelings of frustration with WWE and McMahon. "He's a trailblazer and it's hard to doubt Vince when you look at what he's done. Good for him. I hope it works out for him and it's successful for them.

"I have nothing (against WWE)," White added. "He hates the UFC. We don't hate the WWE." Asked if McMahon really "hates" UFC, White replied, "Sometimes it does seem like it. I wish him and WWE nothing but the best."

This led to a question about "sharing" Brock Lesnar's services for WWE and UFC PPV cards. "Never know," White grinned. "Do we talk? Yeah, me and Brock talk."

White also addressed WWE Legend Ric Flair appearing at the Fight Night card on Wednesday. White said Flair "called and wanted to come" to the event and he met Flair in-person for the first time.

"A lot of the WWE guys love the UFC. They come and stuff. It's just Vince that doesn't love it. All the other guys do; just not Vince," White said.

Mike Tyson: Chael 'hands down' better trash talker than Ali, Vince McMahon could beat up Dana White

In case you've been wondering what Mike Tyson thinks about the burning issues of the day, UFC Tonight's Ariel Helwani caught up with him and got him to go on the record. Here's how MMA Mania summed it up:

What we know from Tyson's appearance is that WWE CEO Vince McMahon can beat up UFC President Dana White (settling this debate), Evander Holyfield's ear would have tasted a lot better with hot sauce on it, and UFC Light Heavyweight Chael Sonnen is a better trash talker than legendary pugilist Muhammed Ali.

Wait, what?

"Chael Sonnen," insisted "Iron" Mike. "Chael talks too much. I think Chael believes what he says. Chael hands down."

While I'm enjoying Iron Mike's middle-aged re-creation as a lovable old uncle for the UFC, anyone who really thinks Chael Sonnen even compares to Muhammad Ali as a personality or talker obviously is lying or never actually paid attention to Muhammad Ali back in the day.

Still Mike may be onto something regarding Vince McMahon vs. Dana White.

Dana White Says Vince McMahon Wanted To Fight Him

UFC President Dana White recently took part in an interview for Réseau Des Sports out of Canada, and spoke on a number of topics pertaining to mixed martial arts. Before the interview concluded, the following exchange took place:

Host: You’ve built this multi-billion dollar industry from the ground up. Just like another guy that we might know – Vince McMahon. If I locked you guys up in a cage together, who do you think would come out victorious?

White: Let me tell you something – I’ll tell you this, and I’ve never said this before ever in an interview, ever, anywhere. Okay? And if Vince hears this, he’s gonna go nuts. Vince is too old. He’s too old, which he won’t think he is and he’ll go crazy. And he wanted to do that one time. Vince wanted to fight me. Swear to God, he called me up and said “Let’s do it. We can either do it in the UFC, or let’s do it at WrestleMania.” And I said, “You are crazy.” [...] I always have said it and I’ll say it again: I respect Vince very much, but Vince is too old to be fighting anybody.

Dave Bautista Talks MMA Career, Brock Lesnar, WWE Return, Compares Vince & Dana, More

Recently, former WWE superstar Dave "Batista" Bautista was interviewed by Brian Scocia for "The Scocia Network" and discussed a number of topics. Subjects included; last minute opponent change, coughing during matches, MMA, criticizing WWE, Brock Lesnar and much more. Here are some of the highlights:

On switching from Rashid Evans to Vince Lucero as his debut opponent
: "It shook me up a little bit, yeah. I was coming in for a guy that I trained to fight for eight weeks. Now, I'm kind of in a little bit of the unknown fighting a guy that's had 43 pro fights.

On what it feels like going into his first professional MMA contest:
"Butterflies, I'm a bit nervous but excited at the same time. A lot of times, you can reallt use that energy and really focus it and use it to your advantage. That's what I'm hoping to do."

Comparing Vince McMahon and Dana White: "I think [Dana] stole Vince's playbook. I think he's doing the same thing for MMA that Vince did for professional wrestling. I really think that he's used Vince's guidelines, I really think he stole Vince's playbook. Even with making UFC more entertainment-based and letting the fans get to get a personal outlook on the fighters. I think that the way that he's bought up the smaller organizations and absorbed their talent and things like that."...More?

Rumor Mill - More on Brock Lesnar’s Meeting winth Dana White and What He Told WWE About It

Brock Lesnar met with UFC President Dana White in Las Vegas last weekend following the UFC pay-per-view. There was some speculation that WWE and UFC were in on the whole thing as part of the Lesnar storyline.

Word now is that WWE had no part in the meeting and it was all Lesnar’s doing. Speculation now is that Lesnar was trying to fuel his WWE storyline and at the same time make a “power play” with the two companies.

Lesnar actually told WWE officials that he met with White but nothing happened out of it. Lesnar reportedly brought up the idea of doing something with UFC but White wasn’t interested. White does not want a pro wrestling connection with UFC and isn’t interested in working with Lesnar while he’s with WWE, despite teasing it at the post-fight press conference.

Brock Lesnar in WWE '12

After SEVEN YEARS apart, UFC pain machine Brock Lesnar is getting back into business with the company that put him on the map -- WWE -- in a deal that will make him the "featured star" in a brand new video game.

Multiple sources confirm ...the people developing "WWE: 12" approached Brock back in January and asked for permission to use his name and likeness in the game and the advertising campaign.

We're told Brock loved the idea -- but wouldn't sign off unless his current boss, UFC honcho Dana White, gave his blessing. Fortunately, it worked out.

TMZ spoke with White, who told us, "I love WWE and I have nothing but love for Vince McMahon -- I'm totally OK with Brock being in the game."

We're told the first commercial for the game -- starring Brock -- will be released tomorrow.

Jim Ross Criticizes UFC Over Paul Daley

WWE veteran and former announcer Jim Ross is always candid in his assessment of UFC pay-per-view events, and he provided similarly-interesting comments about Saturday’s UFC 113 event.

Specifically, Ross took UFC and its president Dana White to task for permanently banning Paul Daley from the Octagon after his post-fight antics Saturday.

“Daley lost his cool which has apparently got him ’suspended for life’ from UFC but I have a difficult time thinking that decision won’t be revisited at some point,” wrote Ross on his JRsBarBQ blog. “I do agree that Daley should be severely penalized for striking his adversary after the fight had ended with a blatant left hook but to banish the guy for life seems a bit heavy.”...More?
