"The Wrestler" Out on DVD and Blu-Ray with Extras

The Academy Award nominated film The Wrestler is officially out on DVD today. Here are the DVD extras for the film:

* Wrestler Round Table featuring Lex Luger, Rowdy Roddy Roddy Piper, Diamond Dallas Page, Brutus Beefcake and Greg Valentine in a discussion following the Hollywood premiere (only available on the Blu-Ray version)

Update on Lex Luger's Health

Lex Luger has had a rough time over the last few years with his heath taking a major turn for the worse in 2008 when he was paralyzed in both arms and both legs after suffering a spinal stroke. Since then he has recovered considerably and can now get around some days without the use of crutches or cane. He still has issues with his hands which has made dialing a phone or gripping things difficult. He plans to have another carpal tunnel surgery soon, hoping that it will improve his hands.

WWE's Greatest Stars of the 90's DVD

SilverVision has released information regarding the upcoming WWE Greatest Stars of the 90's three-disc DVD set. Fifteen wrestlers are profiled on the DVD including Shawn Michaels, Yokozuna, The Rock, Kevin Nash, Owen Hart, Ric Flair, Mick Foley, Hulk Hogan, Triple H, Bret Hart, Lex Luger, Sting, Razor Ramon, The Undertaker, and "Stone Cold" Steve Austin. Wrestlers Outed in Astin Indictment

The 17 patients listed in the indictment filed against Dr. Phil Astin are referred to by their initials. Two of the patients are Oscar Gutierrez, better known as Rey Mysterio, as well as former WWE wrestler Mark Jindrak, as the indictment includes previous charges related to distributing painkillers and other drugs to them last July. When questioned about his involvement with Astin during an appearance on Fox News' Red Eye program last August promoting his wrestling return at SummerSlam a few days later, Mysterio said he was prescribed pain medication from Astin due to six knee operations. He also denied ever using steroids. Jindrak is currently living in Mexico City, Mexico, competing for the CMLL promotion under the name Marco Corleone.

Also listed in the indictment are the initials CMB and NEB, likely referring to Christopher Michael Benoit and Nancy Elizabeth Benoit. The initials MAB and RWH are also listed and believed to be well known pro wrestlers. MAB appears to be Buff Bagwell, who's real name is Marcus Alexander Bagwell. RWH is believed to be one-half of the current WWE World Tag Team Champions, Hardcore Holly, who's real name is Robert William Howard. Last July, ABCNews.com reported that along with Benoit, Jindrak, and Gutierrez, Bagwell and Holly had their medical records seized by federal agents from Dr. Phil Astin's office.
