WWE Divas: The Good and the Useless

Many Divas have passed through the WWE in years. From legends like Fabulous Moolah to future Hall of Famer Trish Stratus. We've seen Sable, Lita, and the more prominent Chyna. These women were great performers in the wrestling ring and you could tell they worked hard. Recently, though, we've seen the slow decline of the Divas unit.

Well, we can't blame WWE. Who actually said, "I can't wait for the women's championship match at Wrestlemania"! I can't recall saying that and I'm sure many can agree.

Nevertheless, even though we never talked about those great women wrestlers that much we appreciated them. Mickie James is pretty good and so was Molly Holly. Trish Stratus had fantastic matches with Lita, Molly Holly, and Mickie James. So we fast forward into present and what do we have? A joke...More?

The magazine speaks about Mickie James growing up in Richmond, Virginia and training at the KYDA Pro Wrestling Training School. Dory Funk Jr. was also given credit for her training as the legendary Funk spent 5 intense days at the KYDA Pro Training School teaching in his Funkin Conservatory style. The history also discusses Micke James, wrestling as Alexis Laree, working as a manager for then KYDA Pro Heavyweight Champion Tommy Dreamer.

WWE at the Democratic and Republican National Conventions

WWE uperstars and Divas will be attending the Democratic and Republican National Conventions over the next two weeks as part of our Smackdown Your Vote! efforts to encourage more voters, ages 30 and younger, to vote in this year’s election.

Batista, Shelton Benjamin and Candice Michelle will attend the Democratic National Convention in Denver from Aug. 26 to 31. Shawn Michaels, Mr. Kennedy and Mickie James will attend the Republican National Convention in St. Paul, Minn., from Sept. 1 to 4.

On Monday, WWE will post its version of an online debate between Senator Barack Obama and Senator John McCain based on their written responses to Smackdown Your Vote!’s national 18-30 Voter Issues Paper (VIP), which outlines the critical issues and questions from younger voters based on national polling...More?

Mickie James on MTV's ‘Big Ten’

Tune in to MTV’s The Big Ten to catch special guest Mickie James. The WWE Women’s Champion joins host Damien Fahey on the video countdown talk show, where she’ll help introduce the day’s 10 biggest videos on MTV.

James will chat about McMahon’s Million Dollar Mania, Night of Champions, The Great American Bash and SummerSlam. The Women’s Champ will also answer off-the-wall questions in the show’s “Big Ten Split.” The show airs on MTV tomorrow at 9 a.m. ET/PT.
