Former TNA wrestlers Generation Me comment on their departure from the company, Rob Van Dam criticizing them
Why Generation Me are no longer with TNA: "It just comes down to money. We had crumby deals where you got paid-per-appearance. And we both had dreams to one day sign with a big professional wrestling company and when we got a TNA contract, I think we kinda jumped-the-gun. To tell you the truth, I don't even think we looked at our contracts. At first, we were making good money and thought it was pretty cool. But as time progressed, we asked for help and asked for a guarantee and we never got that. We never wanted to split-up. When they said we would be X-Division wrestlers, we didn't want to be lost in the shuffle. And when the agents couldn't even tell whether we were heel or face, that's when we decided it was time to get out."
On the controversial comments made by RVD - directed towards them: "We knew he was talking about us. At first, we were like why? I didn't feel like either of us had any issues with Rob. Rob always seemed like a loner who just did his own thing. He's not exactly the kind of guy that you would approach. Every day we saw him at TV, we both said 'hi' to him. So he didn't have the right to make comments like that. Just because we didn't go to Rob specifically, I hope he didn't take that personally. If we needed any advise, we would go to veterans like Terry Taylor, D-Lo Brown, Tommy Dreamer or Al Snow."

RVD = Career Pissant
I'm so glad I'm not the only one that sees through RVD's bullsh*t. Mark Madden posted this on Wrestlezone.com:
Was Rob Van Dam EVER involved a big-money program? Not even close. For RVD to refer to himself as a “rock star” while belittling the older, “jealous” wrestlers in TNA was a gratuitous insult, and gratuitously delusional. What’s going on right now in TNA makes the end of WCW look like a Swiss watch. RVD = career pissant.

AJ Styles Comments on Losing the Title to RVD
I definitely didn’t understand it. For the life of me, I couldn’t understand it. I was very surprised that I would lose that title after holding it for so long, and to somebody who has basically been out of wrestling for over a year, and was coming in from WWE. And he should have been tired from wrestling a match before that. It was like I’m not the star I thought I was. I guess I’m just a guy in TNA.

Is TNA Imploding?
Looking at some of the headlines lately, one has to wonder if TNA is its own worst enemy:
They sign Jeff Hardy knowing that he has been indicted on drug charges. They sign Rob Van Dam, an admitted marijuana user. I'm not sure how these individuals will factor into any type of drug testing TNA may use.
Ric Flair is having serious financial problems including losing his NWA world title belt after pledging it as collateral to two different entities. His wife was arrested for domestic violence against him in February, and Ring of Honor is suing him for the return of $40,000 which represent monies paid in advance of appearances by Ric at there shows. Ric never made the appearances.
The loss of the six-sided ring, not promoting the X-Division and some of the real gems of the show. While I thought the ring was stupid, it is what made iMPACT! unique along with the X-Division. TNA should have being showing what is unique about them, not trying to be the WWE of the South. Losing Awesome Kong, Christopher Daniels, and Melissa Anderson doesn't help either. Misusing AJ Styles is a huge understatement.
Allowing Hulk Hogan to hire his old conies. I don't think The Nasty Boys or Bubba the Love Sponge had anything to offer and it gave less air time to the talent that deserved it. They have finally gotten rid of both, but BTLS has created quite controversy.
Constantly mentioning the WWE. It began with the Voodoo Kin Mafia (VKM-Vince McMahon's initials). The Voodoo Kin Mafia appeared in front of WWE headquarters in Stamford (which was a cheap imitation of DX invading WCW during the Monday Night Wars) and called out Triple H and Shawn Michaels but had to refer to them by their real names after being put on notice by WWE legal. Currently Hulk Hogan and Ric Flair have had matches involving potentially losing their WWE Hall of Fame rings. TNA never hesitates to refer to "that other company" or "the company up North" as though no one knows who thay are talking about. You will never hear TNA or references to it mentioned on WWE programming.
Hiring every WWE cast-off. Just because they are available doesn't mean they should work for you. Has anyone in TNA questioned what Rob Terry is on?
Hulk Hogan stated that when Dixie Carter approached him about coming to TNA, he told her he wanted "Vince McMahon" control. Now he says that he can't handle it. Let's see, he can't handle the corporate side and he has no business in the ring. So why is he there?
Bad press, bad ratings, reported low morale, top stars leaving. It seems that TNA should be taking care of home instead of trying to copy WWE.

Rumor Mill - AJ Styles Not Happy About Dropping the Title
AJ Styles was not a happy camper last night. Not only was Styles upset about having to drop the title, he was also quite upset when Van Dam failed to hook his leg for the pin. When Styles returned to the back, he simply changed and left the building without conversing with others.
The backstage reaction was mixed with some feeling Styles was being a bit of baby for not wanting to drop the title, as others felt management didn't keep Styles strong as he looked weak losing the strap the first time he didn't have Ric Flair in his corner.
In recent times, Styles has been keeping to himself, doing his own thing backstage and not always tuned in to television monitors to watch the show.

Former WWE Wrestlers to Donate Brains for Research
Former WWE wrestler Chris Nowinski issued a memo to PWTorch today listing several former WWE wrestlers who have agreed to donate their brains following death to aid the research of brain trauma from repeated blows to the head.
"Over 20 wrestlers have already enrolled or recently pledged to join the study, including Rob Van Dam, Matt Morgan, Lance Storm, Ken Kennedy, Molly Holly, Tony Garea, Antonio Thomas, Dawn Marie, Kevin Fertig, and other big names who at this point choose to remain anonymous," Nowinski said in a memo. "The only group of professional athletes so far with a greater commitment to this research is NFL players, with over 60 current and retired players involved."
Nowinski issued the memo in response to ESPN's report that Andrew "Test" Martin showed signs of long-term brain damage as a result of repeated trauma to his head during his wrestling career...More?
