CBS and UFC are in talks about producing one or more prime time network specials. Due to the ongoing Writer's Guild strike, UFC has more leverage now in such talks since they potentially provide unscripted programming, something all the networks will need once they run out of fresh episodes of the shows currently on schedule.

WWE Wellness Doctor Reveals Huge Number Of Suspensions
CNN aired a documentary on pro wrestling called "Death Grip: Inside Pro Wrestling" earlier tonight. The documentary will replay at 8 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday.
During the documentary, Dr. David Black, who oversees drug testing for WWE, said that the company has handed out a total of 30 suspensions since the implementation of the Substance Abuse and Drug Testing Policy in November 2005. A total of 27 WWE talents that we know of have been suspended during the program's history, including three individuals that have been suspended twice -- so it seems to add up...More?
EWEAN mulling to stage more professional wrestling
Modern wrestling, which Nepalese could watch only in television sets in the past, is now being held in their towns and cities by the professional Nepalese wrestlers.
Everest Wrestling Entertainment Association Nepal (EWEAN), established on Feb. 2003, is staging popular professional wrestling with a view to provide entertainment to the Nepalese fans.
According to EWEAN, there are altogether 24 wrestlers, out of which 16 are professional performers and eight are currently taking training.
When asked that many people allege wrestling as a mock game, Uddhab Prasad Thapaliya,
Chairperson of EWEAN said: �whatever we do in the ring is real and not fake, we perform it in front of hundreds of viewers and also sometimes the players are badly injured."

Chris Masters Fired by the WWE
Chris Mordetzky, better known to wrestling fans as "The Masterpiece" Chris Masters, has been let go by World Wrestling Entertainment.
At the time of his release, Masters was 6 days into a 60 day suspension for violating WWE's Substance Abuse and Drug Testing Policy. It was Masters' second violation.
