Ken Shamrock Admits to Steroid Use

UFC Hall of Famer and MMA trailblazer Ken Shamrock admits he used steroids during his career.

The 46-year-old fighter and UFC 1 competitor confirmed the usage while a guest on Friday's new edition of "Fighting Words with Mike Straka" on HDNet.

Shamrock tested positive for multiple steroids after his most recent fight – a February 2009 submission win over the late Ross Clifron – but initially denied usage. At the time and in a subsequent interview with MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com), his camp blamed the failed drug test on over-the-counter products that may have triggered a false positive.

Shamrock, who didn't explain exactly when the usage took place, told Straka it's easy for MMA fighters to acquire the banned substances. "It's easy and simple," he said...More?

SmackDown Results: Seeing Red

In their first one-on-one encounter ever, Big Show and CM Punk were eager to prove their mettle before they collide for the World Title at Fatal 4-Way. It didn’t take long to see that The World’s Largest Athlete was clearly the more dominate force. But when he attempted to rip the mask off CM Punk, Luke Gallows and the mysterious hooded S.E.S. stranger attacked him, resulting in an immediate disqualification win for Big Show. Punk and Serena followed up with a few cheap shots of their own. As the S.E.S. continued its assault on Big Show, Kane entered the arena to put an exclamation point on his night of carnage by chokeslamming the hooded stranger, Gallows and the 500-pound Big Show! Only Punk and Serena escaped his wrath. Full results.

Christopher Daniels Talks About Leaving TNA for ROH

Interview with Booker T

Hollywood in Hagerstown

Forget the real housewives in D.C. -- Hagerstown could be getting the star treatment.

A production company is pitching a reality show starring a local pizza owner who moonlights as a professional wrestler.

Vinnie Schiano DiCola owns Rocky's Pizza and Cafe Napoli. He and his son, Rocky, spend their days at the pizza shop on North Potomac Street. But when darkness falls, they head to the Superior Pro Wrestling Training Center.

"There's no time for me to do anything but the pizza shop and wrestle," Vinnie Schiano DiCola told The Herald-Mail. "We have talent. I'm not conceited -- I'm convinced. It's just a matter of having Hollywood see it."

And that's a big possibility. The father-son duo -- which trains with professional wrestler John Rambo, according to The Herald-Mail -- caught the eye of Fremantle Media North America. (That's the production company behind "American Idol," in case you didn't know.)

This week, Fremantle shot footage of the Sciano DiColas in Hagerstown and a wrestling match in West Virginia. Now the footage is being edited into a pitch to show network big wigs.

New WWE and MMA Games in the Works

Two new games have been announced in the lead-up to E3. THQ will be bringing a second WWE game to the market to join the Smackdown vs Raw series and 505 Games will be presenting an unlicensed and extreme MMA product.

Joining THQ’s portfolio of fighting games will be WWE All Stars slated to release in early 2011. In order to differentiate from the SvR franchise WWE All-Stars goes with over-the-top quick arcade style action and exaggerated graphics. It is described as being half fighting-half wrestling game and will pit a pool of legends to go along with current WWE superstars. As of now only The Rock and John Cena have been confirmed for the roster and will be on display at E3.

WWE Superstars Results: Here Comes the Boom

With his NXT Rookie Michael McGillicutty looking on from ringside, Intercontinental Champion Kofi Kingston brought the boom to The Straight Edge Society’s Luke Gallows in this volatile, non-title main event. With the beautiful, but dangerous Serena by his side, CM Punk’s most loyal soldier used his 300-pound frame to keep the high-flying Kingston on the mat for the majority of the match. But Kofi’s explosiveness simply couldn’t be stopped. When the big man went for Gallow’s Pole, the Intercontinental Champion reversed it into the S.O.S. for the 1-2-3. McGillicutty better have been taking notes. Full results.
