Matt Hardy Continues Verbal Battle With WWE

Matt Hardy posted the following on his twitter profile:

"Here's a quick hello to all my people & a reassurance to everyone that I'm fine, healthy, & in good spirits. Thx for all of your support. When the time is right, I'll put everything out there as far as what 'really' went down. I know I have to protect me & my brand, & I will. I appreciate my fans so much that I'll always be honest with them, & the whole story certainly isn't out there now. I appreciate all of the things the WWE has done 4 me in the past, they have been gracious to me-but now, it's decision time for me. Thx all."

Santino Marella Announces Development of His 'VIP Global Fan Grid'

"The WGC 'grid' solution will allow me to provide the most advanced and capable way for me to better serve and grow my global fan base," stated Santino. "The ability for me to extend my brand, and WWE's brand globally, in a ubiquitous and real time form will create the ultimate virtual extension of my physical WWE world."

Anthony Carelli is an Italian-Canadian Sports Entertainer currently working for World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) as character Santino Marella. Carelli has been with the WWE since August of 06 and his comedic role within the company's programming has steadily made him one of the fan favorites, and a staple within the company's RAW brand. Carelli had his own Internet based show called Santino's Casa (07-09) where he would give a break down of his views on local events in the news. Santino's Casa was not only successful but provided an excellent medium for Carelli to really fine tune his skills in front of the camera. Carelli is in the process of taking his skill set to television in the form of the first ever WWE situational comedy...More?

CT State Dept. of Labor Investigating WWE's Use of Independent Contractors

Hearst Newspapers' Brian Lockhart reports this morning that World Wrestling Entertainment says it is being investigated by the state for its use of independent contractors.

WWE spokesman Robert Zimmerman confirmed the existance of the inquiry. "WWE has always complied with the law,'' Zimmerman said in an email to Lockhart. "Up until this election, WWE has not been fined nor investigated in the past for independent contractor classification. However, curiously the state of Connecticut is currently conducting an audit of WWE's classification of independent contractors. WWE constantly reviews its internal practices and procedures to comply with ever-changing employee laws."...More?

Blumenthal’s Lead Over McMahon Shrinks to 6 Points

The race between Democrat Attorney General Richard Blumenthal and Republican former WWE CEO Linda McMahon for U.S. Senate is getting tighter, indicating that it could be either candidate’s race when voters go to the polls in November.

A new Quinnipiac University poll shows Blumenthal in the lead, 51 to 45 percent, over McMahon. In January, Blumenthal led McMahon by 41 points – 64 percent to 23 percent -- but the wrestling exec, who has said she would spend up to $50 million in her own money, has been chipping away at his lead. In August, Blumenthal led by 10 points...More?

Raw Results: Raw is Ochocinco

Even his fellow Ohioans can hardly stomach The Miz. The United States Champion patted himself on the back before insulting Raw’s special guest star, Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver and VH1 reality show star Chad Ochocinco.

As the two outspoken athletes traded barbs, Raw’s anonymous General Manager interrupted to reveal the stipulation Miz must compete in, as determined by the Raw Roulette Wheel: A Submission Match. Much to Miz’s chagrin, the GM then allowed Ochocinco to choose Mr. Money in the Bank’s opponent. Despite protests from Miz, you guessed it, the football player chose submission specialist Daniel Bryan. Full results.

RVD = Career Pissant

I'm so glad I'm not the only one that sees through RVD's bullsh*t. Mark Madden posted this on Wrestlezone.com:

Was Rob Van Dam EVER involved a big-money program? Not even close. For RVD to refer to himself as a “rock star” while belittling the older, “jealous” wrestlers in TNA was a gratuitous insult, and gratuitously delusional. What’s going on right now in TNA makes the end of WCW look like a Swiss watch. RVD = career pissant.
