Entertainment Weekly writer Margaret Lyons has an article up looking at the return of WWE "Tough Enough" to the USA Network on April 4 and why the company should bring back former star Al Snow for the series.
"They have to bring back Al Snow. A USA rep says the show is still in its really, really early phases, and that decisions about judges and mentors haven't been made yet. Snow isn't with the WWE anymore, so I know it's a long shot, but still: Snow's mentorship and training absolutely made that show. (That fourth season doesn't exist in my world.) He was so strict and serious sometimes, and then so goofy and jovial at other — I'm not a wrestling fan, but he was so compelling that I got completely sucked into the series."...More?

Entertainment Weekly: "Bring Back Al Snow"
Update on Martha Hart vs. WWE Lawsuit; Hart Backs Off Claims That Vince & Linda McMahon Never Apologized For Owen's Death
Owen Hart's widow Martha Hart has backed off claims that Vince and Linda McMahon never apologized to her after Owen's death during a WWF PPV event in May 1999.
In a filing on 12/20 in the United States District Court of Connecticut, all parties in the currently ongoing lawsuit between Hart and the Owen Hart Foundation against World Wrestling Entertainment, Vince McMahon and Linda McMahon, all sides requested that Martha's allegations that there was no apology be removed from the lawsuit filing.
Based on the paperwork, attorneys representing the McMahons presented the court with "sworn testimony" dated July 2002 of Hart discussing an apology she received from Vince McMahon during a conversation in which Linda McMahon was also present.
Hart's side has until 1/15 to respond to WWE's most recent statements in the case. The two sides had a settlement negotiation last month but were unable to reach terms.
Hart's lawsuit claims World Wrestling Entertainment violated their original 2000 Settlement Agreement in the wake of Owen Hart's death, that WWE violated the family's privacy with the release of Owen Hart matches and the "Hart & Soul" DVD documentary, that WWE intimates the Owen Hart Foundation endorses their company with the release of Hart's matches and that the rights to Owen's footage reverted back to his estate upon his death.
WWE has responded that their 2000 Settlement Agreement with Hart, ending her wrongful death lawsuit over Owen's passing, sealed all future claims against the company while Owen's WWF performer contract signed over his likeness and rights for WWF (later WWE, obviously) to reproduce for their purposes.

Dan McDevitt came to the ring and offered Jimmy Cicero the job of Commissioner of MCW. Cicero accepted.
Ronni Zukko def. Cole Callaway
The MCW Anniversary tag team title shot was on the line in the next matchup. C-Fed would defeat Ramblin Rich to earn the title shot for FED-UP. After the match, "G-Fed" would appear to turn on C-Fed, as Rich, manager J.P. Callahan, and Jessie Kaye would join in on the attack of C-Fed. However, "G-FED" was actually Earl The Pearl in disguise. New Commissioner Jimmy Cicero would order everyone to leave, except Earl, who was ordered to compete in the next match, which resulted in a loss to "The Samoan Tsumani" Nui Tofiga.
Maryland wrestling fans were well aware of the issues that exists between members of The Hit Squad, Drolix and Kindred. Those issues would come to a head on January 1st, as newcomer James Anthony was able to score the upset over Drolix, after a miscue by Kindred. After the match, Drolix and Kindred would come to blows, thus ending the team for good.

'Street Fighter' Characters Dropkick the WWE
Street Fighter's characters have been represented in various forms of media across the years, but the montage of a WWE Smackdown vs. Raw 2011 creator named Jimmy might be one of their weirdest and coolest usages yet. He's recreated many of Street Fighter's characters in the wrestling game, and it's quite a sight to see the iconic figures act like Macho Man Randy Savage.
All told, Jimmy created more than 20 Street Fighter characters using the SvR 2011 character creator, and they're just about perfect. I never thought I'd seen Akuma and Gouken or Ryu and Sagat hash out their differences in the wrestling ring, but that's exactly what's happening here...More?

Update on Shane McMahon
It has been a year since Shane McMahon's resignation became official from WWE and four months since he was appointed Chairman of the Board and CEO of China Broadband, Inc., a provider of cable broadband services and publisher of digital and analog program guides in the Shandong Province of China.
Shane was named CEO of China Broadband after becoming a "strategic investor" in a private placement financing deal in May 2010. This was after he made a trip to Abu Dhabi in March 2010 to attend a media summit where potential media investors meet to talk business. Shane was quoted in The National newspaper as saying, "You have to go where the money is." The deal was finalized and made public in August 2010. Since that time the company has undergone several changes. How is Shane's company doing? Here are some updates:
From the Quarterly Financial Report November 22, 2010:
The Company has incurred significant continuing losses during 2010 and has relied on debt and equity financings to fund operations. These conditions raise substantial doubt about the Company’s ability to continue as a going concern. The Company believes that the acquisition of Sinotop and the 2011 launch of its VOD/PPV business will generate cash for the business.
The unaudited consolidated financial statements have been prepared assuming that the Company will continue as a going concern and, accordingly, do not include any adjustments that might result from the outcome of this uncertainty. The Company's independent registered public accounting firm's report of the financial statements for the year ended December 31, 2009, contained an explanatory paragraph regarding the Company's ability to continue as a going concern. Definition of "Going Concern" - The idea that a company will continue to operate indefinitely, and will not go out of business and liquidate its assets. For this to happen, the company must be able to generate and/or raise enough resources to stay operational. - www.investorwords.com
China Broadband, Inc. announced several board and management changes including the resignation of Clive Ng as Senior Executive and Co-Chairman of the board, and the resignation of Jonas Grossman and David Zale from the board of directors, effective immediately. Following such resignations, Marc Urbach and Steven Oliveira were appointed to the company's board of directors. - press release November 29, 2010
China Broadband, Inc. (OTC:CBBD) increased 0.00%, currently trading at $0.0400 and its overall traded volume was 0.00 shares while reporting, against its average volume of 478,935.00. CBBD opened the day at $0.04, it made an intraday low of $0.04 and an intraday high of $0.04. The stock has a 52 week low of $0.03 and 52 week high of $0.30. CBBD's market capitalization is 26.43M and it has 660.77M outstanding shares. - www.wallstreetbay.com December 30, 2010
