Rumor Mill - Sara Del Rey's WWE Status

As previously reported, Sara Del Rey is now officially a member of the WWE roster.

It is being reported by backstage sources that Del Rey was brought into the promotion for several reasons, one of them being that WWE is looking to hire more female talent who aren't "typical models" like ex-WWE Divas Maxine and The Bella Twins.

It was also suggested that Del Rey would also have a big role in helping to train and develop individuals in the Divas division, which is said to be confirmed and also serves as a sign that WWE is looking to move the Divas division towards "actual wrestling ability" rather than the "sex aspect."

Del Rey is currently booked for two more independent shows, with the last being in mid-August. Following these, she will begin working with WWE.

TNA vs WWE Update - Order Against WWE Dropped; Order Against Wittenstein Stands

The planned hearing today regarding TNA's lawsuit against World Wrestling Entertainment in Nashville was canceled and rescheduled for 8/2.

The court also noted that in their previous order regarding the end of the restraining order against WWE being dropped, that they erroneously failed to list that the order against Brian Wittenstein, who allegedly passed on confidential TNA information to WWE's John Laurinatitis, still stands.

In a court memo dated 7/11, it was noted that "Although Mr. Wittenstein has been served, no notice of appearance of counsel has been filed. Accordingly, the Court has mailed a copy of this order to him but has used a telephone number provided by plaintiff's counsel to telefax expedited notice of the rescheduling" of today's canceled hearing.

To date, Wittenstein has not responded in any fashion to the lawsuit.
