Joe Stecher forfeits the World championship to Earl Caddock after refusing to finish a match in Omaha, NE. Caddock serves in the US Infantry during World War I and Stecher in the Navy. The title lay vacant for much of the war.

Buddy Rogers defeats Antonino Rocca in Cleveland, Ohio to win the Ohio version of the Boston AWA World Heavyweight Title for the third time.
April 9, 1953

Jerry Lawler defeats Randy Savage to win the NWA Mid-America Heavyweight Title in Lexington, Kentucky, ending Savage's third reign.
April 9, 1984

Tiger Ali Singh defeated Owen Hart in the finals to win the Kuwaiti Cup Tournament.
April 9, 1997
