Former WWE wrestler Chris Jericho appeared on the Wrestling Voice podcast recently and expressed his discontent regarding WWE Superstars using material from the forefathers of wrestling: "There seems to be a lack of respect for the forefathers who came in and did it first and it's not just (C.M.) Punk it's a whole litany of guys from Miz to Cody Rhodes to Mason Ryan to Sin Cara to Kelly Kelly everybody is stealing moves looks ideas "
He added credit needs to be given: "These guys have to start thinking of their own stuff and some times I see some of them and I'm like oh come on. It's not like it's influenced. At least give credit where credit is due."

Cody Rhodes: Behind the Mask
Most people wouldn't see having their nose broken as a good thing. WWE superstar Cody Rhodes, however, does.
Rhodes' nose was accidently broken during a match with Rey Mysterio in January. After some time off, he returned to the wrestling ring with a protective mask on his face and a new, twisted persona.
"What we do is entertainment," he says in an interview with the Times & Transcript, "but my nose was genuinely broken, and it was the luckiest unlucky thing to ever happen to me because it gave me time to think, it gave me time to reflect and actually, it gave me time to genuinely get a little (angry), and that's what you need to work in the WWE."
Rhodes, 26, and about five years into his WWE career, says he and his fellow performers need to make the most of every opportunity.
"You have to not just want to rip (World Heavyweight champion) Randy Orton down from the top spot, you have to literally grab his leg and yank him down for all its worth."...More?

Cody Rhodes Explains Why He Doessn't Use Twitter
SmackDown Superstar Cody Rhodes explained in an interview with WWE Magazine why he does not use the social networking site Twitter:
"I don't want to give followers or adversaries insight into who I am. I'm thinking of having my next T-shirt read, "Cody Rhodes" on the front and, "Not On The Internet" on the back. I think Twitter is ridiculous," Rhodes said.
"If you have time to Tweet about what you're eating, I don't think you're working hard enough. I may be a workaholic—and I know I've been accused of that before—but I can't see myself Tweeting to members of the WWE Universe about how I wanted my eggs over easy and they came scrambled instead. I'll go on the record: The day Tom Hanks gets a Twitter account is the day I'll get a Twitter account."
The magazine editor then notes that Tom Hanks does have a Twitter account.

The "Nex" Champ is Here! - New Tag Team Champs Crowned at Bragging Rights
At WWE Bragging Rights, on the strength of the STF heard ‘round the world, the unlikely combination of John Cena and David Otunga reigned supreme over Drew McIntyre & “Dashing” Cody Rhodes in an impromptu title match, delivering the glorious WWE Tag Team Championship into the hands of The Nexus.
The spur-of-the-moment contest was made by the anonymous Raw General Manager.
Wade Barrett – the outspoken leader of The Nexus – immediately came before the WWE Universe, naming Nexus member David Otunga for the monumental undertaking. But, it was his announcement that John Cena would team with Otunga that completely shocked the WWE Universe...More?

WWE Stars List Beatles Favorites
WrestleMania goes head-to-head with Beatlemania tonight in Glendale, with the legendary Paul McCartney blowing the dust off any number of his favorite moments with the act you've known for all these years at Jobing.com Arena, while across the way, large men in tights will engage in heated battle scenes.
To mark this coincidence, the WWE Superstars told us their favorite Beatles songs. Here's what they had to say:
Chris Jericho: "The Beatles are my favorite band of all time. I will be going to the McCartney show after WrestleMania!" Favorite song: "I Want You (She's so Heavy)."
John Cena: "Come Together."
Shawn Michaels: "Let It Be."
Randy Orton: "Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds."
Edge: "A Day in the Life." "To me," he says, "they're singing a movie, and it's a point/counterpoint between Lennon and McCartney. They both have a character in the song."
Cody Rhodes: "Back in the U.S.S.R."
Sheamus: "Hey Jude." "It's been my favorite song since I was a kid," he says...More?

Big Show Warns Young Stars: "They Have to Earn It"
There was much criticism through 2009 that the WWE's headliners were the same old faces such as Show, his tag team partner Chris Jericho, Shawn Michaels, Triple H, Undertaker, John Cena and Randy Orton.
Things have changed recently with newer stars like Scot Drew McIntyre and Kofi Kingston getting a push and Irish wrestler Sheamus even winning the company's world title from Cena.
But nobody has yet challenged 37-year-old Show's spot as the company's top big man — and he says it will stay that way until someone "steps up" to earn it:
"I want to let you know flat out there's not anybody good enough to take my position. And I'm certainly not going to give my position up just because I've been on top for a while, and nor would anyone else. If there's another giant that can walk in and take my position, then good for him. He can run with it and I'll retire. Until then I'm going to work on top as long as I can, make as much money as I can and entertain the fans as much as I can. It's up to the younger generation to come to the locker room, step up and be leaders. Every one of us who is on top right now has had to fight and dig and bend to the penthouse and bend to the outhouse as far as booking and positioning goes. I'm not just going to lay down because somebody new comes in — they're going to have to earn it."
Big Show refuses to blame Vince McMahon for failing to push the newer talent and instead says it's all about not enough guys having the right work ethic...More?
