Jerry Lawler will be doing the artwork for the covers of a new WWE comic book series in Great Britain. Lawler is well-known for his artowrk and also did comic book art for Headlocked - another wrestling comic book series.

Pro wrestling comic headed to the big screen

We’ve long known that wrestling and comic books share a lot of common ground — they’re both overly dramatic, feature bulbous men and women in spandex, there’s plenty of fighting, and their fans are … well, kinda nuts.

So the news today that Death Ray Films and Maya Entertainment will be bringing the supernatural wrestling epic “El Zombo Fantasma” — based on the three-issue miniseries by David Wilkins, Kevin Munroe and Dark Horse Comics — to life as a feature film is pretty much a no-brainer. Monroe will get a shot to write and direct the project, and also co-produce the film along with Wilkins, Chris Patton and Robert Sanchez. Dark Horse head honcho Mike Richardson will serve as an executive producer...More?

Triple H a step closer to major movie role for 2010 "Thor" movie

Marvel Comics Executives are pushing Triple H to have the lead role in the 2010 movie "Thor". Daniel Craig, the star in the "Bond" series was consider for the lead role but he recently said he's not interested. It will be interesting to see if Vince McMahon would allow Triple H off TV for several months while working on a non-WWE Studios film.

Rob Zombie Making Wrestling Movie

Rob Zombie is working on a new movie entitled 'Tyrannosaurus Rex', which is loosely based on his comic book series called 'The Nail'. Here is the synopsis for the comic book series:

Small-time pro-wrestler Rex Hauser (a.k.a. The Nail) makes a living touring the small-town wrestling circuit with his family. ItÆs business as usual for this close-knit bunch until they unwittingly cross paths with a murderous gang of Satanic bikers. But these aren't your run-of-the-mill devil worshippers. In fact, Hauser and his family just might be up against the most un-Godly evil ever known to man.
