WWE May Be Exploring VR Features In The Near Future

VR is common in the video game industry, despite still being in its infancy. Professional wrestling company the WWE is now exploring the possibility of using VR to further connect with its large fanbase all around the world.

As reported by CNBC, Triple H talked about using VR during the Web Summit technology conference in Portugal earlier this week. WWE is looking to see how the technology improves in the future.

Triple H said that VR will be used in order for fans to see shows like WrestleMania virtually. If you don’t have enough money to fly all the way to America, you can experience it virtually instead. Potentially, you can watch shows from ringside to get the live event experience.

Whether or not VR will be used in future WWE video games remain to be seen. It will be interesting since we have never received a first-person wrestling game before!

Rumor Mill - Triple H makes incredible gesture to Kevin Owens after emergency

According to a report from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Triple H decided to give the money he received for performing in theWWE Live event in Santiago, Chile, to Kevin Owens, who flew home from the event due to personal reasons.

In case you didn't know...

Kevin Owens left the WWE's' South American tour early to be with his family and was pulled from the live events in Argentina and Chile. Also, AJ Styles, who was scheduled to appear in Chile was called back to wrestle Finn Balor at WWE TLC 2017.

In order to make amends, Triple H wrestled Rusev at the Live Event in Santiago, Chile.

The heart of the matter

As per the report, the shows in Santiago were paid for by a local promotion run by Hugo Savinovich, a former Spanish commentator for the WWE. The promotion had paid the WWE a sum of about $900,000 for the Live Events.

The organizers were unhappy as stars such as Kevin Owens and AJ Styles were forced to miss the live shows. To make things right, Triple H himself stepped in and wrestled the Rusev to a great reception from the crowd in Santiago.

Triple H then displayed incredible generosity as he gave the money that he received for his performance to Kevin Owens.

Big Name To Appear As Special Referee For Upcoming WWE NXT Title Match, Adam Cole Comments

WWE has announced Adam Cole vs. WWE NXTChampion Drew McIntyre for the November 17th non-televised live event from San Antonio, Texas. WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels will be the special referee. This event takes place during Survivor Series weekend, just one night before the "Takeover: WarGames" event.

Below is the full announcement:

NXT Champion Drew McIntyre faces Adam Cole for the title in San Antonio on Nov. 17, with Shawn Michaels as special guest referee

Adam Cole and The Undisputed ERA have vowed to shock the system of NXT, and the unlawful collective will get a chance to do just that when Cole challenges NXT Champion Drew McIntyre for the title at NXT Live in San Antonio on Friday, Nov. 17.

Not only that, but San Antonio native son and WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels will serve as the match's special guest referee.

The newly confirmed NXT Title Match is slated for NXT's return to the Aztec Theatre, just one night before NXT TakeOver: WarGames comes to the Toyota Center in Houston.

Cole, who made his shocking NXT debut in August by ambushing McIntyre moments after he won the NXT Title, recently commented on his championship ambitions in an interview with WWE.com.

"As far as Drew, he's an impressive athlete," Cole said. "Drew had been chasing that NXT Championship, and he finally achieved his dream. I almost feel bad for the guy. I feel bad that after all that hard work, all the sacrifice, it's going to be taken away by me. And there's not a damn thing he can do about it."

WWE Responds To Dave Palumbo's Comments About Their Drug Policy

Last week, Dave Palumbo, who handles the nutrition and supplementation for Paul "Triple H" Levesque, made comments on an episode of Matt Riviera's podcast that the WWE's drug policy allows for use of Hormone Replacement therapy (shooting testosterone) as well as HCG and HGH.

The actual quote in question was, "They're allowed to take hormone replacement. They can go to an HRT place and get testosterone replacement, 100 mg a week, whatever they prescribe nowadays," said Palumbo, a former well-known competitive bodybuilder. "Those are acceptable. A lot of the wrestlers do it, and it's not for me to say whose using what, but they're very minimal doses."

Today, WWE responded to the comments that Palumbo made by saying that he was misinformed on the subject and the drug policy does not allow for use of those substances unless an endocrinologist and the WWE's medical staff approved of it for legitimate medical need.

WWE Writer Exits After Taking Photo With The Bullet Club During RAW 'Invasion

Acording to Pro Wrestling Sheet, Jimmy Jacobs is no longer working for WWE and made his exit last week. Apparently, there was heat on Jacobs because he took a photo with The Bullet Club during their "invasion" of Raw, late last month. It wasn't confirmed though if he was officially released from the company.

As noted, The Bullet Club appeared outside of the Citizens Bank Arena in Ontario after doing a signing at a Hot Topic store in the area earlier that day. The "invasion" was filmed for theirBeing the Elite series on YouTube as a continuation of recent storylines they had been doing on the show.

Since then, The Young Bucks revealed that they received a "cease and desist" letter the next day from WWE, who claimed The Young Bucks were using their intellectual property, mainly the "Too Sweet" hand gesture. The letter threatened legal action for damages up to $150,000 per item, any profits made on the sale of those items and legal fees. WWE claims ownership of the hand gesture due to their purchase of WCW's intellectual property. The Bucks have removed all references to "Too Sweet" from T-shirts for sale on their YoungBucksMerch.com website and on their ProWrestlingTees.com store. They have since released a "cease and desist" T-shirt, which quickly became a top seller.

William Regal Speaks Candidly About His Substance Abuse Issues in 1990's

Current WWE NXT General Manager and former WWE Intercontinental, European, and Tag Team Champion and 2008 King of the Ring William Regal recently appeared on Sean "X-Pac" Waltman's 1-2-360 Podcast.
Regal spoke candidly about his issues with substance abuse back in the 1990's which resulted in him being let go from both WWE and WCW at various points:

“I didn’t drink until I was 25. I didn’t do anything, it was just not something that I did. I left home when I was 16 and I was in nightclubs every night after work. I lived in a resort area where, within a mile walk of my house there was fifty-two nightclubs and over three hundred bars, and I was in one of them every night. I never drank, I just liked going out. Until I came to America and I sort of started doing a bit of this and a bit of that. I started taking a lot of pain pills and everything else. I coped with it for a while, and then the last few months of ’97 and ’98 were a complete mess. Then I said ‘enough.’ I just had enough of it.
