Alberto El Patron No Longer A Suspect In Paige Incident

Alberto El Patron is no longer a suspect in his domestic dispute with Paige at the Orlando airport on July 9th, a representative for the Orlando Police Department told Pro Wrestling Sheet. As noted, detectives have reportedly found probable cause to charge Paige with domestic battery over the incident.

GFW announced last week that they had suspended Alberto until the investigation was resolved. There has been no official statement regarding Alberto's status, although he was never stripped of the GFW Global Championship.

Man Shot Outside Of WWE Performance Center In 2015 Found Incompetent

A man who was shot by police outside the WWE Performance Center in 2015 has been found incompetent and has been sent to a mental health facility in Florida, according to WKMG out of Orlando.

Armando Montalvo was shot by police in the parking lot of the WWE Performance Center on August 31, 2015. He had a history of bizarre behavior outside the facility, including spreading his feces and urine on the building. He even posted a video on YouTube where he mixed his waste with reduced fat milk.

Montalvo was obsessed with former WWE superstar Lita, who was frequently at the WWE training facility at that point in time as she was filming her role on WWE Tough Enough.

The day police shot Montalvo, they responded to a disturbance at the WWE Performance Center caused by the man. A confrontation ensued, with police opening fire when Montalvo grabbed some rocks and charging at one of the officers.

Montalvo was shot in the chest but survived. He was charged with aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer, resisting arrest and trespassing.

Montalvo had been out on bond but his bond was revoked following another arrest. His next hearing is scheduled for January 31, 2018.

Mark Henry Announces Retirement from In-Ring Competition

Starting his career in 1996, Mark Henry went from representing the Olympics, to Sexual Chocolate, to channeling his “World’s Strongest Man” gimmick by folding frying pans, to creating his dreaded Hall of Pain, and everything in-between. Although his career has been up and down over the past 21 years, WWE executives can certainly say that Henry has been one of the most consistent members of the roster over the last two decades.

Discussing his career with fellow Nation of Domination members Ron Simmons (Faarooq) and The Godfather (Kama Mustafa) on Table for 3, Henry announced that he was wrapping up his days as an in-ring talent.

“It’s been 21 years, and as we know, that Father Time is undefeated,” said Henry. “My time is coming to an end. I’ll go from talent to an employee here in a few months. I’m just looking forward to making that transition, helping these young guys and girls coming in beneath us.”
Henry, 46, added that he will be shifting over more to help the company “restock on talent,” which is something he has been doing since competing in the ring part-time.

Paige Possibly Facing Battery Charges And WWE Suspension Following Incident With Alberto El Patron

Paige is potentially facing charges from the domestic violence incident with GFW World Heavyweight Champion Alberto El Patron at the Orlando International Airport back on July 9th, according to new reports by Pro Wrestling Sheet and F4Wonline.com. Orlando Police detectives have reportedly found probable cause to charge the former WWE Divas Champion with domestic battery. The evidence has been forwarded to the state attorney's office for review and they will decide if charges need to be brought against Paige.

It was also noted that the investigation into Patron is still ongoing by Orlando police. Alberto was suspended by GFW until the investigation is complete but he is not being edited out of any Impact broadcasts during the suspension and apparently will not be stripped of the title.

After originally claiming that she and Alberto were the ones that got police involved, Paige then released a statement that said she was the one being held for potential battery charges after TMZ released audio of the argument between she and Alberto that told the true story on what happened that day.

Paige could be looking at another WWE suspension over the charges as the company has a zero-tolerance policy regarding domestic violence but she must be arrested before a suspension is brought. A conviction would bring termination. WWE's policy on domestic violence reads like this:

WWE has zero tolerance for matters involving domestic violence, child abuse and sexual assault. Upon arrest for such misconduct, a WWE talent will be immediately suspended. Upon conviction for such misconduct, a WWE talent will be immediately terminated.
WWE's ability to fine, suspend or terminate a WWE talent will not be, however, limited or compromised in any manner in the event incontrovertible evidence of such illegal misconduct is presented to WWE. Section 9.13(a) of the WWE booking contract, commonly known as the "morals clause", provides WWE with broad discretion and authority to act under such circumstances.

What do WWE superstar Triple H and real-life women wrestlers think of 'GLOW'?

The Netflix original series "GLOW" has catapulted women's wrestling into the pop culture spotlight.

The dramatic re-creation of the 1980's all-women's wrestling promotion, Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling, is a timely reminder of the WWE's ongoing women's evolution.

Just three weeks after the show's release, the WWE began taping of the inaugural Mae Young Classic: an all-women's single-elimination tournament featuring 32 competitors from WWE's NXT and independent circuits around the world.

espnW asked Mae Young Classic women competitors Tessa Blanchard, Toni Storm, as well as Paul "Triple H" Levesque -- a longtime WWE superstar turned executive who is overseeing the tournament -- their thoughts on "GLOW."

espnW: Have you had a chance to watch the show?

Paul "Triple H" Levesque: I mean, I saw it then. Now I have not had a chance to actually see the [Netflix] show, but I've heard nothing but rave reviews. Popularity in our industry ebbs and flows, but it seems people have come to accept what we are -- not only what they see, but the behind-the-scenes of how it comes together.

GFW Issues Statement On Alberto El Patron Domestic Battery

Alberto El Patron is under investigation for a domestic violence battery incident which is alleged to have taken place Orlando International Airport on Sunday.

In an update, GFW has announced in a statement they will be conducting their own internal investigation of El Patron‘s alleged domestic violence incident. Their brief statement reads as follows:

“Global Force Wrestling takes all legal situations very seriously and is looking into this matter. GFW is a privately-held company and will thoroughly investigate this incident and fully cooperate with law enforcement.”

Alberto El Patron Being Investigated For Domestic Battery

Unified GFW World Champion Alberto El Patron is being investigated for an alleged domestic violence incident at a Florida airport, according to TMZ Sports.

The former WWE Superstar who recently joined Impact Wrestling allegedly "roughed up" a female companion following an argument which escalated in the terminal building. Police were called and a witness at the scene confirmed: "There was an altercation."

At this stage, there is no confirmation from Police that the female was WWE Superstar Paige, who Del Rio is in a relationship with, but people said she was at the airport with Alberto that day.

Law enforcement has noted that Alberto has not be arrested or changed as yet, but investigators are in the process of gathering information about the incident.
